+irontFistMayden I am probably gonna have to save this comment thread. It shows exactly how every race/nationality has these 2 types of people. There's always optimist and always pessimist tryna take them down. What if he got so inspired by this and one day create's his own chain of barbershops? Isn't that a good look for all Filipino's. Thinkers like you need to change.
@xpd03
8 жыл бұрын
+irontFistMayden he was proud of his fellow countryman for doing such a good job. fucking crab mentality
@darthdr3
8 жыл бұрын
+SuperGear360 +72vince27 I think what's appalling 'bout this "proud Pinoy/Filipino" thing (which we see everywhere) is that its been used so extensively and out of context that the idea of being proud of your kin's achievement, such as your countrymen is deviated to you giving it a wrongful taste. Yeah, one man's story of success is inspiring and knowing that it's your fellow Pinoy makes it even more proud worthy, but heck, that does not in any way magnifies the Filipino pride nor reduce it. Americans are proud, Mexicans, Germans, etc, they are proud so thus us Filipinos and we should be with or without this kind of story of success. But you don't say you are proud when its bullshit that you hear in the news...you can't be, shame on you if you are. So, I'd say, instead of claiming ones achievement let it be a goal to you to make it in the same level or even higher, and ones you get to that point - people will say not just your own countryman, your friends perhaps of different nationality will say... "I'm proud of you man, you did your country proud, you made your family and friends proud, keep it up!" Spread the love! Peace!
