Shane's Barber Shop and Shave Parlor in San Mateo, featuring Shane Nesbitt,Travis Sweeney and Cedric Senica.
This Short Film was made for the @storytellingparade film contest about a business in your community. When we started this project we did not know what we would were jumping into. After hearing the great stores of Shane's barber shop and how he and his fellow barbers got started we new we had something greater than just a 5 min short. After hearing all these interesting stories about the barber culture from the past 10 years and how it relates to our home town San Mateo… we had to turn this into a full documentary. We plan on shooting more and more this winter and digging deeper into this growing trade of Barbering. Stay Tuned!

Love, the video! Saw his post 4:30 in the morning on Instagram saying he had a new video posted on youtube so I had to check it out! Shane is one of favorite barbers by far. I was in the military cutting hair and was about to get out of the service and happened to find Shane on instagram and looked up to him and his work so much I sent him a email randomly, not excepting to get anything back. I asked him for some true advice about what schools to look into and a little about how he got started. The next day I received a email from Shane, at the end of his email was his phone number saying "give me a call". I gave him a call feeling pretty nervous haha, but he gave me some great advice and talked about how and why he started. Shane is a amazingly hard worker and a big hearted individual. I hope someday to meet him!

Not raised in San Mateo but new to the area, The Zoo family has been doing some good work for years. I know passion when I see it and these guys got it. I've always liked seeing good people in the success room. Keep rockin. Great video.
It's all about Shane's Barber Shop! This is the spot where I finally had my first great haircut, after 36 years of mediocrity. Have been coming back ever since. What up Sega! That's my guy.
