This basically continues the trend with all the released 4000 series GPUs. The gpus, are all amazing pieces of technology and nvidia really nailed the power consumption by keeping it down and very efficient. They just messed up the pricing for every single model released. Good GPU, bad price.

@@BlueprintPC this time their 4090 sales won't cannibalise like 3090 did . they have provided enough performance difference between 80 and 90 product. so except 4090 every other product is double of its MSRP compared to last gen . the current 4080 16gb is the real 4070 non ti( 3070 FE successor) and 4070 ti 12gb the real 4060 sharing the same bus bandwidth and 4070 is actually the 4060

i just got a new pc with a rtx 3070 and it is a huge upgrade from my old gtx 1060

So here is my verdict, 4070 is bang for the buck , and there are some key points to understand why:- 1-inflation ,cut down make it a 400 dollar card again 2-equals to raw performance of last gen best card aka rtx 3080 , which at that time sold for over 1200 dollar 3-Dlss 3 is game changer , with frame gen , over the time u will appriciate your decision 4-Av1 encoders make much less data for recording and streaming 5- 12gb vram , from 10 series to 30 series its all been 8 gb , which breaks at this gen 6- far less powerconsumption I jumped from gtx 1070 to rtx 4070ti (in hurry) other wise this would be my obvious decision 😊

Nice video, I appreciate your work I have a zotac mini pc with i7 10th And 3070 zotac 2 fans It has a ventilation issue bcuz its too small and i didn't face any problems with i just removed the case covers so i dont face any problems Im thinking to upgrade to 4070 but i dont know much about the cards mine gives 140 frames at mw3 and its fantastic do you recommend me to upgrade ? I liked the mini pc size at first but know i admit the bigger case is better cause you can add much fans to it 😢

Considering upgrading from my 2060 to a 4070 at most. After researching, the issue of power supply units cropped up. Not sure what to do here. I make Minecraft animations in Blender (Cycles render engine) and play Minecraft at a high render distance, but I'm looking to upgrade soon.

I got a 4070 over a 3080 simply for the power draw. The efficiency of this card will save me more than the difference over two years. That and im tired of my room getting hot. I live in Florida

@@BlueprintPC I know I overpaid at least 100 dollars but I'm happy with the performance to heat ratio. My 3070 was a good bit hotter. My girlfriend even noticed the room was cooler.

I have felt very satisfied with my purchase of the RX 6900 XT after seeing everything about the 4070. Yes it might be more efficient in the power department. But it can get whooped by the 6900 XT sometimes. Although, if I had held off, and not gotten the AMD GPU, I would have likely gotten a 4070 most likely.

Check out the 6700xt, pretty good bang for the buck!

The 4070 is greater than those other 70 class cards.. Yet, it is viewed as less because of it's price and specs in the current market. The average thought about the 4070 is: "M'eh."

People in short. If you want longevity (well no one can say what will happen in the future) lure raster power and want to play at high 2k or 4k go 6950xt. On the other side if you are a creator or need superior productivity, want new tech, overalls better rt, low power consumption go 4070 Both are good cards but for gamers who 6950xt will be better overall with more vram but those want work/game hybrid setup or live in a location that has high electricity prices go 4070

Agreed with everything ya said 🤝 it’s overpriced idk why people can’t see that, they immediately think you’re knocking the card like no it’s a good card just bad price simply 😂

Watching videos about gpu's I ran across this one. Subscribed. I bought a used 3080 last october 2022 for $450 and what a lovely card it is. The 4070 looks good (it wouldn't make sense for me to buy one already having a 3080), but like you said, it's overpriced.

rtx 4070 in my country is more than 600... more like $700 ish and up with a decent AiB.. while rtx 3070 and 3070 ti is about half that price with used and even just a bit half with 3070 ti if the card still have warranty... coming from 1050 ti, any of those surely will bring me a great upgrade for sure, but i guess i'll choose 3070 ti and undervolt it, then saving some money until 5000 or 6000 series comes out

Especially with a tight wallet and budget Hopefully next gen, like 5k series or 6k series or future gen will have a better price to performance... I'll definitely upgrade it when the new gpu's price is justifiable especially in my country where everything new is going up and only secondhand one is going down

I am about to buy this new rig with this gpu in it and a cpu of intel i7 13700f. i have been using a titan 1070 for years now, till it cant handle the game The Division unless i go potato. But I am worried about what i read about this gpu burning up due to short pins or something. Has anyone here had any issue like that?

Well 4070 at 599 is a good card if you look vs 2080ti/3070ti/3080 used or even 6800xt/6900 but again 399 would be better.... 4070 is 190w and has 12gb + dlss3 so its not bad just needs 100-200$ cut

399 is probably wishful thinking. I think most ppl think the 4070 is worth about 499. I paid 599 and happy with the card. Got diablo 4 free and its great , so made up for the overprice a bit. When i first started looking to upgrade my 1060, it was mid the mining boom and a 3070 was like 800 dollars. So 600 doesnt seem so bad for a 4070, a faster card, today

Should i keep my rtx 3060 or should i upgrade to a higher one? I only play racing gamea thats all

Im currently building a new pc to replace an overheating alienware prebuilt 🤢 I am currently using a thermal throttling 2070super in that pc and i am putting a 7600x in my new build, i would carry over the 2070 but its blower cooler is VERY loud so i need to upgrade my GPU to and to sell the prebuilt with a GPU in it. My main game simply hates AMD cards so i have to use Nvidia, power consumption is also not a problem cuz i got a great deal on a 850e from Corsair for £100! I was thinking if a used 3080 FE or a 4070 gaming x trio but i really dont know what do to A used 3070 could be cool to i guess...

Hey there, so I would avoid the 3070 as the 8gb of vram will hold you back in the future. Honestly if you are ok with used try to snag a 3080 for around $450ish. Otherwise get the 4070 with warranty and better ray tracing. Eitherway you're gonna feel the difference

The only other thing I would note is the 3070 is like a 2080ti. Yes an upgrade buy not an insane boost

Reduce it by $100 and u got a buyer. But at $800 cad and have to be crazy. 3080s are flying off at $600 cad

I think the 5700 is limiting the 4070 a little bit, i think the 40 series cards work better with newer cpus and motherboards

My 1st question is does your PC play all the game you like at settings you like then you're good. 2. If you said NO my stuff sucks then budget is the next question and do you have brand loyalty? Also what do you know about the new software and hardware features? Once the opinionated person offering advice knows the target budget and loyalty status and has informed the buyer on all the new features from the computer system they come from then they can give the correct advice. Kind hard to sell someone a 4090 even if they have the budget if they think you can't see 165-175hertz from 60hertz l and they can't tell 1080p from 4k. These people still exist and they hold the market back 😒. N E ways my thoughts

Yeah that is a possibility. Some educated purchasing can help but also sometimes sellers are honest about what it was used for. I have had some decent luck buying used but also been burned

Yeah, you and many other countries have it worse than we do. All I can say is I am sorry to hear that. I will say much respect for keeping up the pcmr with those conditions

yeah...if you are new to this, you might think, amd is the shit, better prices more power...but amd doesnt innovate, they just trottle along in the safety of nvidias shadow like a little brother that doesnt have his own dreams...like a doggo. Once you wanna do some ai stuff, you will realise how sucky amd is. At least 1 year behind.

Why pay for stuff you don't use if you're just gaming? Don't underestimate SAM either in an all AMD system. Nvidia love to lock you in, GSync, DLSS. AMD are leaders in chiplets but they don't innovate 🤔

@@redrock425 well, maybe you can travel back in time? 2 -3 months before i wasted my money. If not i think my original comment has value for someone who might think about upgrading. the 3060 12 gb would have been nearly same price, so what if i am 10 % behind in rasterisation, i would be able to use all functions of stable diffusion, plus make much higher resolutions, 100-500% faster.
