Unbelivable. Awesome. Astonishing. It works. It just works. Found this guide for my sixteen year old abanduned lg dvd lh-t250sc before a throw away. It is a shame that lg provide no official factory reset. It was stuck in a no screen at all (maybe an unsupported progressive scan option enabled) and sub was switched off. And then you came. You saved his life and make me happy. You are great!

This worked for my LG HT806 home theater, I'd tried many things and was about to get technical help when I tried this then I also had to reset the configuration STOP on unit and ZERO on remote together for 5 seconds before re-starting again. I then unplugged the unit moved it back into its place connected all cables and wires. No sound again, After resetting ways again with code and the other sound was back on........ Unreal great of you you share this knowledge Thanks a million...

Yo bredda. Dis one save me as I don't have the official remote, only the casco one. So I turn off the HDMI by accident and couldn't turn it back on 😂. Back in business, thank you!

Hi Dominic. I just bought the DP132H. Various people said it was multi-region, but no, it's region 1 only. I did your factory reset, which did reset it, but it's still region 1 only. 1. Open the disc tray, 2. Press '0' on the remote multiple times until a dialogue pops up on your screen. 3. In my case, mine was set to region 4. Press '0' to make it multi-regional and press pause to complete. ALL DONE!!! Your DVD Player can play DVDs from any part of the world now!

There's a problem with the pick-up assembly. Generally it needs replacement after all that time.

Have one other issue..don't know if you can help me..the remote is set but when I place the DVD to play the movie..the movie is skipping very fast forward & not stopping..what seems to be the problem there?..I cleaned the player before..

You can't. These machines are made to only read AVI, DivX and VOB files formats only. They cannot recognize the most widely used file formats which are mp4 and mkv.

My LG won't do anything. Can't even power off. Remote doesn't wonk, nor does buttons on the player itself. Only way to shut it off is to unplug it. Any suggestions?

When I reset my LG it has numbers highlighted at the bottom not letters like yours. It does say reset. When I turn it off it does not say anything.
