Factory Reset Old/Earlier Model LG Home Theaters

This is how to perform a factory reset on earlier model or old LG Home theaters. A majority of these home theaters are Grey in colour (but not all) and probably don't have a HDMI port.
This is how to reset
1. Make sure there is no disc inside the Home Theatre
2. Press Set Up
3.Go to Display
4. Highlight 16:9
5. Enter the code 1 3 9 7 1 3 9 and press OK/Enter
6. Switch off DVD player
This is exactly the same process as resetting LG DVD players.

thanks for your video. I have an LG dvd receiver LH-T3602 and I can only listen in bypass mode. I can't change the sound mode :( help please

I have LG V280, it's locked and I have only universal remote Kenner RC-949. I can't find the way how to unlock it and thought that maybe I can do factory reset at least and fix the problem....can you help? :)

I have an option of buying a used old lg (dvd) home theater 300w and buying a cheaper latest chinese Hisense soundbar 80w. Advise me which one should I go with?

@@DominicGichane thanks let me get it, but are you sure because It seams there is a bigger difference in watts 300 vs 80 I don’t really know what watts represents interterms of the sound quality.

An old LG home theater has all the spare parts discontinued so you won't get any help in case anything happens. Plus the trend nowadays is to shying away from DVD players

This has long been discontinued but you can regularly check in auctions
What about sound decrease and increase problem

The sound IC or power supply could be the problem in your case. Get a technician to check it for further assistance.
