So this is Episode 1 of ???
After this project, ill probably do a modpack :)

Sorry for the strange pacing and monotone voice guys!! I'm not used to narration yet, itll get better over time!

I really like this commentary. I'm not a fan of aggressive live reaction. I like the patterned pacing where you say something, pause in vocals as you show what you're doing, then transition to the next thing. It's very relaxing. Your minimized tones make it feel concise, calm, and confident.

Reminds me how much difference the biome makes. You are in the middle of the desert so biters are quick to anger. My current playthrough in a middle of the vast god damned forest, to the point that i need to keep cutting trees just to move around or place buildings. Consequently, most of the pollution gets absorbed and biters were none the wiser up until i had flamethrower turrets.

8:55 Seeing this form of smelter array gave me a sense of clarity and realization that having two lanes for plates on each side makes it so inserters don't get clogged because with one lane output for plates its still efficient but suffers output clogging with larger arrays(Why im starting to love how no matter how many hours you play factorio a single design could change how you aprroach your current design)
the balancer filter trick is awesome!

I am always amazed at how we all start the same but in so many different ways.. and that means there is always time to learn something new... Cheers for the new ideas.
Watching this video after already binging all of your newer content really shows how far you've come. So confused as to why you don't have more subscribers, great content.
The essence of "Doing it yourself" is strong in this one.
You shouldn't build walls right next to turrets, biters can damage them when they are that close. Leave a gap of 4 or 5
@Novastar900
11 ай бұрын
To be precise: Big and behemoth biters can attack up to two tiles away - so as long as you leave a gap of one empty tile (or have a two tiles thick wall) biters can't hurt your turrets until the wall is destroyed. Small and medium biters need direct contact to damage buildings.

This is the first channel I've seen that makes edited Factorio videos for beginners. Thank you for making this! I can only stand unedited Factorio if it's from someone like Nefrums or Antipatience where the pace is similar to edited content.
22:16 The way the music in synchronized with the placement of the power poles pleases me.
Please continue this series
"well, you're about 10 minutes and 58 seconds into the video" literally 10 minutes and 58 seconds into the video also the narration style is amazing, great background noise for factorio. Always remember to wash your ores (if you have mods that allow you to) and that overproduction is better than underproduction!

love the edit and narration style, keep 'em coming
This is the cleanest-edited, most organized and thoughtful playthrough ive ever watched. Its scratching my brain in the best ways lol
And this is why I almost always turn bitters off , this episode is the epitome of the bitters for me. I got second hand annoyance from that. Great vid though love the channel whish you had more!

I’ve been trying and failing to get into Factorio for a while now, but I think these videos are really helping me learn the game. I don’t know any of these tricks, ratios, rules of thumb, hotkeys, mechanics, etc. so seeing them in action like this is really nice.
found your 10th video in this series first... gonna watch them all because I think that you have serious potential as a factorio youtuber
I love this gear design
I'm not going to lie. I started this episode, blacked out, woke up, my phone is overheating and it was playing episode 10
Discovered this channel yesterday. Love it! Easy sub!
Awesome video. Loved it the entire time
Fyi, 1 offshore pump can supply 20 boilers with 40 steam engines
Just a chilled video. Looking forward to watching the rest of the series.
The reminder to like worked this time, I hit the 10:59 mark and was like "OH RIGHT" and then also subscribed because I have genuinely been learning stuff from these vidoes
Very well done Mr. I enjoyed it
I love how this guy and choofie are basically the same person for different games
At 22:16 the placement sounds matched up exactly to the music
Great series. Awesome. One of the best actually. But damn this is more ads than any content I’ve seen.

Bit late to the party but around 10:00 I started feeling I missed this game since 2020, 12:00 A bit more, 17:07 I NEED TO PLAY
I played some factory runs with biters, but my last games played "peacefully", if biters were in the way I got rid of them.

Hey, thanks for the quality content! This is exactly how I like my Factorio videos. But why do you make two output belts in furnace arrays?
@DocJade
Жыл бұрын
Good question! It makes it easier to upgrade the throughput of the belts earlier when you unlock steel furnaces current belts look like this 111111111111 111111111111 what we can do is upgrade to the steel furnaces, but now we don't have room left on the yellow belts! so what can we do? a balancer! balancing the lanes gives us access to both sides of the belt for item placement, so our new setup looks like this 111111|>111111 111111|>111111 and now you can stick a red balancer at the end to get a full red belt out! 111111|>111111|> 111111|>111111|>222222 does this help in the long run? probably not, but it's mostly a stylistic choice :)
i keep noticing you doing this, please place your turrets and flamethrowers further from your walls... about 8-10 spaces back from them. spitters will keep destroying them like they do to you if they are too close.
How are you all getting starting biter bases without worms? Every time i pick random seed without looking i get a biter base 2-3 chunks away from my iron ore with several worms guarding it. >. Default settings worked way better before they were 'fixed'.

Strange! I guess it's just luck? I have no idea, I've never had problems with worms early game
When you're doing the beltweaving thing, if you put an inserter on the splitter does it take from input and output side?
you can put input and output on the same belt even without filters if you're not a coward
Jeb!
Awesome video! Curious why you're using 2 belts for output from the smelters? Couldn't you just use 1 belt?
