I dont think these persons in congress understand Technology. It is a very complex thing, and it changes every single day. You can try to implement regulations but as long as there are hackers, bots, and people will 'minds' malicious behaviors will never ever cease. Its like trying to read a persons mind as to what they will do next, it is simply impossible. That is why the questions they ask cannot just be answered by 'Yes' or 'No'. We are in a time where technology is very ambidextrous in what it can do and as long as there is a 'will' there will always be a 'way'. To simply control everything single is not possible and thats why people have great paying careers in just the monitoring and upgrading of internet security. For example, you stop one virus, another one comes out. You send out this 'patch' another hole opens up, you block this hacker, another hacker finds a way and it goes on and on.

After watching a few hours of day two and also seeing an ad yesterday related to my recent travels I went into Facebook Settings and then Ads and removed every category. And it was bizarre to see who had received my data and who I had supposedly interacted with. Go scrub your ads today.

So funny how issue of monopoly came up. They simply do not know all the apps out there.

I'll go out on a limb and call anyone who claims to feel violated by what social media does with their info, a hypocrite. It's a free service. You agreed to use this service. So how did you expect that this service, which offers free communication and data storage, on a 24/7 worldwide operation, to stay in business? It's ironic that Congress uses the word, Transparency, as a requisite. Where is the CEO of Twitter? Senator Graham should be regulated.

apache jai the only ppl that seem upset at what FB is doing or what they might be doing are the ppl that are too Lazy or Uneducated enough to read the summary of the terms of service and are too Lazy to read the the text that appears when u do almost anything asking for permission to access location, personal info and information or apps on your device. This line of questioning could of mostly been avoided by just actually paying attention when you use the FB app.

I agree with your disagreement to being digitally farmed without consent. But at the end of this whole investigation or hearing, we are still the ones agreeing to use social media services. The credit bureaus created profile on us, like it or not. We are judged on that profile, by employers, whether or not we have borrowed money. And now, employers are requiring that we have a social media site listed on our applications. I don't believe that regulation is good for any industry that's in it's infancy but when it grows to this magnitude, yes, Uncle Sam needs to step in to protect the masses.

I agree with Colonel's concerns, to an extent. But we all know this rabbit hole can get deeper and deeper. We cannot expect big business to ever regulate their motives to make money so it looks like some regulations may need to be implemented to protect users.

Senators talk so stupid on tech .

On this episode of when senators ask questions and interrupt the answer to push their own opinion of the answer. We look at a ton of 50 plus senators with aging minds and formation of dementia asking and trying to understand simple tech and legal docs as they repeatedly all ask the same questions sometimes as an individual ask the same question over and over in the first line of questioning.

On the next episode we look further into Ted Cruz's pandering to the right and how all his questions form by simply trying to misdirect then conversation to the Republican party is getting the shit end of the stick. Bravo Senator Cruz, your bias questions fly in the face of retaining any self respect and I'm truly in awh at how comfortable you are in being hollow and transparent in your agenda.

You browsing KZread videos right now, KZread will put that in their algorithm and it helps select videos that may interest you from previous videos you've searched. Same with your isp. They can see what your browsing at any moment without your consent.
