I am standing next to my 2006 Mark IIc Futura. Port side floor is detached. Transom was replaced five years ago. The floor connection there is solid as is the bow section. I am hoping that one side is my neglect. I was putting it back together after all these years. Left it overnight. Had a migraine the next day. It was warm and sunny. That edge got direct sun in that tube may have over-pressured. I noticed it after it was together in on the trailer. But not right after assembly.

really informative and you make an enjoyable video, cheers, one question though what glue do you use or recommend ? I have to glue the complete floor to the pontoons on a never used zodiac fh 12.6

Thank you. I try to be as informative as possible. I recommend using a 2 part glue. Zodiac or Stabond are the preferred choices here, we also work with Weaver when.the others on backorder.

do you think it would be possible to repack a transom with a carbon fiber & expoy to reenforce it?

Good morning. First, I really enjoy your videos. I have a question. I have a Futura Mark III with the high pressure inflatable floor. When I try to inflate the floor the front bulges up and seems to take all the air and not filling the rest of the floor. I'm not sure what is going on. I'm hoping you can help me diagnose the issue and maybe suggest a solution. Thanks.

Pretty common with older boats. Have number 3 in the shop now getting the exact same repair.

Should have explained about hinge(gusset) tape. Sometimes(often) parts of it have to be reglued to floor before attaching floor to boat. Also i's good to put 2 sided tape in between hinge tape(fabric) to help stay in place while reattaching.

I understand what your saying. But you have only so much time where you loose the audience's attention, lol. I try to be as thorough as possible, and let the viewers put the missing pieces together in the end. If they have questions, they leave them in the comments, and me or my viewers always help as possible. The two side tape is a excellent good idea. I've always used a dab of glue on small sections of the inner strips/gussets, to hold it in place while aligning and when assembly comes into play I use the burnishing tool to release the 2 sticking sections after everything has been installed and start lining up the inner strips/gussets. Saves on shop supply cost, but does require a little glue cleaning afterwards.

Zodiac Z7096 or Stabond UK-148 for PVC fabric or Zodiac Z7098 for Hypalon fabric.

Great job, thanks for the explaining. Can you tell me is my old 2000 Zodiac mark 1 pvc or hypalon? Previous owner told me its hypalon but what I heard it's welded pvc tubes with glued transom and bottom.

Depends if it's a Hurricane/Milpro model or Classic or Futura Zodiac model. If Classic or Futura brand, then it's PVC. If Hurricane or Milpro, then most like Hypalon/Neoprene.

Another way to tell is how the seams over lap each other. If it's belted seams, then it's welded PVC, if overlapped, then Hypalon.

If it's pre- 1990s and seams are overlapped, then it could be glued PVC seams.

They have to be ordered from a Zodiac dealer. You will need your boats, Model number and HIN number. I can order one for you also. Just contact us and we'll call Zodiac to find out availability.

They are well put together boats. Fabric is thick and durable and are overall high quality boats. Repairs can be a pain sometimes if there damage in the speed tube areas. Only thing one has to watch out for is the age. On older Zodiac inflatable boats, glue tends to fail after 10-15 years if not cared for.

I’ve only had mine on the water a short time. I bought it 10 years ago. The 20 horse Nissan just hit its 10 hour and break in. The last time it was ran five years ago. I have not had WOT yet, but I am really looking forward to it.
