So the driver got the punishment when it was 100% the pit crews responsibility to release their driver safely? Lol

I mean, it's still the driver that has to get the penalty. How would otherwise give a penalty? If it's just a fine for the team, there would certainly be some that would do more unsafe releases that are close if it doesn't hurt the race.
