Good Video, i'm playing with full traction and antilockbrakes on controller, before the handling patch, medium traction was so good to learn without traction, but now it's completely broken

I’ve developed hand/nerve issues since 2020 was released and don’t have the literal touch or steadiness in my hands to race without full assists on anymore but still managed to keep my AI at 89 instead of 95. The one thing I’ve appreciated about EA was allowing me to still play the games.

After the handling update I have had to turn traction control back on and I still can’t get off medium and slow speed corners as fast as the AI because of wheel spin. I’ve tried all sorts of setups and simply can’t eliminate it. I am actually considering turning TC up to full to see if it gets any better.

Same, I’ve really been struggling to find traction even on medium after the update. Problem I find is the rear end feels dead with full on. Can’t find a happy place yet for me.

Dont see how people struggle with traction, its actually impossible to spin in 24, was harder in 23

me personally full tc has been a lot quicker this year, i used to run medium tc and this year im like half a second slower with medium on, ive also tried none and im a little quicker on that but for some reason im the best on full even though ive been able to control medium for years

Thanks for the tips. I could never drive without TC or ABS assists on F123, but now on F1 23 I seem to handle better without these assists. Currently I only use Race line on corners.

What stopped me from constantly spinning was actually to lower engine breaking by one click. Ofc that only affects going into corners

One assist not mentioned is the mini map. Disabling it is one less thing to distract you from the road track in front. Enabling the virtual mirror will keep your eyes forward and still let you know where the others are.

Yea but its handy to know where people around you come out when they pit…….. for example if someone 1 second in front of me pits and comes out in slow traffic id think twice about reacting to their stop. Obviously in real life your race engineer would be feeding you all the information but on these games you dont really get any info (full minimap i am obviously referring to)

One very useful thing for me is the upshift tone.

Only use two, dynamic line, in which I do plan on turning off at some point.. also the DRS assist simply because of the limitations of Xbox inputs..

I don't use any assists but i am on wheel and pedals ( plus 25 years of real driving experience). But on a pad its a different thing..

This made me faster but it is so much Hader to drive without racingline

Abs and pit

I'm unable to use manual and traction control off at the same time on controller I am unable to manage 8 gears with my thumb and accelerator with my trigger finger at the same time is not possible for me. Any tips with controller layout maybe techniques would be good.

Bro I can't get over the engine sounds in this game. They remind me of the f1 2014 engine sounds. They sound terrible in this game. They literally sound like a roblox game lol.

Fucking same I have been waiting for this. It is absolutely horrendous especially if you play cockpit with helmet audio type on. It just sounds insanely bad it hurts my ears playing too long. But in f123 this feature was fine at least.

@@haroldtaylor2979 it was decent in f1 23 compared to this game. The Mercedes was just off last game and all the other sounds weren’t accurate. I don’t like the fact that they are releasing games this early whilst sacrificing the quality of the game. Just wait until next game where they will market the engine sounds as a “revolutionary step forward”

@@uvannaveen8237 when they were the ones that fucked it up in the first place. Audio seems like the easiest thing to replicate.

I dont use any . What ever I do I do it on my own ability and nothing else. Im not very good btw.
