My dad and i were sitting in the near of the hairpin bend. this is the place where the cars have to break from top speed to almost zero. You could NOT survive longer than 2-3 rounds without ear plugs. man this was an incredible experience I will not forget my entire lifetime. From that day on I had so much respect for every driver in the f1. I thought that they have to be crazy to drive these monsters. Too sad f1 downgraded the engines over all the years and now the sound really suck with the v6´s. Hopefully they come back to v10 engines! Greetz from Germany :)

It's cool and interesting to see how much the car is dependent on that front wing. Low speed corners are fine because of the mechanical grip, but as soon as there is mid/high speed corners, the car is just so unbalanced without the front-end grip as well as the aerodynamics along the rest of the car being completely different without the directed airflow and there's a skill to just how quickly the driver's can adjust to the new "setup" (lol)

the problem with V8's is too much torque, because every time they go into a low gear like Alonso the rear wheels start to spin causing over steer. The v12's however are slower getting off the line but are much harder to control at high speed because it leans to too much BHP. However, the V10's have a perfect balance between torque and BHP which means a much faster and smoother lap time E.G. all the tracks that were created before 2005 have been set lap records by all V10 cars.

Totally dodged what i just said. I rank Button easily below Hamilton, Alonso and Vettel. Can you imagine if one of them had been in that car against Button! He wouldn't have won a single race, yet it was Rubens as his teammate and he had the same equipment but failed to win a race until Valencia and average Button wiped the floor with him. I would not class Rubens as one of the more skilful drivers, he was mediocre at best but just stuck around for long enough for people to think he's good.

Don't hate the driver, couldn't avoid an accident there in my opinion. Look at the circumstances... I think if that was Montoya I am understanding more why he couldn't hold a career in F1, whereas Barichello went on for like decades.

poor Ruben, big mistake for him.
Nowadays, he would have got a penalty. Just for a contact and knocking his front wing off. Or as they say: Causing a colission and dangerous driving. I'm sad. :-(
Tento defender o Rubinho, vendo um vídeo deste o cara era meia roda na F1 mesmo.

Peter Wurst If i recall correctly Rubens was indeed 12th but he parked in the final lap(s) at the start/finish straight with a flat rear tyre, is that correct?
Arrebentou em 2000 e depois fez essa merda... Putz... Mas tudo bem vou passar o pano pra vc Barrica, vc tem crédito Bro !..
Im not trying to be a dick, how was i meant to know you were going to reply i don't own a crystal ball. As i see it we are just having a disagreement about the sport we both love, no harm. Again at no point have i had a go at you I'm just not buying into your defence of Rubens. That is all.
I 'gree.
950cv...
Tell me how it isn't
hopefully they won't go to v6's with turbo's next year but they could consider going back to 3.0l v10's instead. Just imagine a v10 engine in a car with the latest aerodynamics.
Im talking about him as a whole, he was provided with championship winning cars and never made anything out of it and was beaten profoundly by his teammates. He just plods around, yes not very accident prone but not very fast either and i would debate he was "one of the more skilful" . This here is just one example of his shite driving
nope it was definitely a dumb mistake he was way too far to attempt an overtake stuck his nose where it shouldnt have been
2004 V10 engine
Cars was a great movie! Why horrible?
It was just another motorsport.
u think drive a f1 car is easy ? if u were in f1 u would stop in the first lap to repair the car.
How to ruin yr race on the first lap.
Mais conhecido como pé de chinelo
Nope.
It's always Hamiltons Fault hahaha ..lol
Overused. Thumbs down.
Too old, and not funny anymore.
Man that was horrible from Rubens...big lock up at the end there just to finish it off.

Disagree, crappy slow Williams in front locked up previous corner, and had no cornering speed (locked up also) on that one also...

I agree with Gino. Williams was very early on brakes since the beginning.

Toolbag you is... Didn't recognise that Montoya (as always) couldn't work out the braking zone, tyre pressure/performance etc on that crap white car. Don't hate the driver, couldn't avoid an accident there in my opinion. Look at the circumstances... I think if that was Montoya I am understanding more why he couldn't hold a career in F1, whereas Barichello went on for like decades.
