haha no one has ever described us like that. but sure yea if that's what you think it is -- i'll take it XD i do think one key thing to mention here is we focus 10000X more on you actually building your idea vs bullshit like "networking". be ready to focus hard on creating the v1 of your idea, getting it to the world, and iterating.

for some it's easier/motivating when you do it with others you are time bound, so you get to push yourself to meet up you also get the visibility which you might not have gotten working alone that means you've got early users(maybe testers) available

Good idea in theory, but all it does is make competition and success even rarer. You understand that once you meet someone who knows someone in the tech hub, you build a reputation? Why would you want to crush it this way?

nah. but, if we see people that really surprise us during the season we'll maybe wire them some travel funds. in general: the sf event is a "if you can make it, you should come" type event. if you can't, oh well -- it's all good. keep building. we will surely cross paths irl soon :)
