The reason why the colors were wrong was because you put it on backwards. But it looks great and was very helpful

For anyone looking to use their trailer plug - the wiring is on the plug cover on the truck and the light bar comes with the wiring guide. Most colors match, only one that didn't was red (reverse) went to grey on truck. If it's not working at first, make sure the ground is securely sliced, I used the taps and it didn't work initially, then I clamped again and everything works perfect now.

You had the light bar upside down

These light strips look awesome I just installed mine and that reverse light is sick bright 😊 I did mine same way except I had mine facing the right way lol. I think these give your truck a really classy look. Ford should do these factory install. I would urge everyone to go get a test light because every model is different on the wiring diagram. Depending on your year your trim your model 4X4 2x4 it's "All" different. Ford just can't leave it simple with the wire colors for the same on every pickup but unfortunately they don't.

Was the right blinker going when the left was on possibly due to you having the light strip upside down? I.e. flipped the light strip around

2:38, you might have the led strip backwards. Thats what i had trouble with just a sec ago

The left and right want necessarily backwards, if installed with wiring exiting to the left (opposite of direct in video), left and right would have been correct. Keep that in mind when you decide which direction you need the wires to go.

What did you use to mount over the bracket that keeps the tailgate from swaying? It’s an extra piece yours has for the tailgate step.

I have the same and you have the light bar flipped the wrong way. If you put the wires on the left then it is what the instructions show. 😎😎

I have one in my Ram 1500, some of the LED of the running strip dont work, any idea? 5 of them dont light up

Yep, upside down. Flip it over and you would be fine.

Trailer light wire is always green for right blinker yellow for left and brown for running lights white is ground. You did not install correct light strip correctly. Pig tail is to be on the left side (Drivers Side).

I bought one of these for my buick century haha

He made fun of the "Chinese" for labeling the wires wrong. I'm thinking maybe flip the bar around, but what do I know, I'm just a girl. 🤦‍♀️
