I went to the link. Ready to buy one. But it says for pickups only. I have a Ford E150 Conversion Van. Do u think it's a good idea still to purchase? Or I will have to buy a different kind. Maybe bcuz of the vehicle is different.

You could also grab your reverse light positive off the 7 pin round connector (Usually the center pin on Fords).

Alpha Ghost check out opt-7 tailgate LED Lightbar. It's freaking cool and it's a similar look but I think i like it better.

i still love my opt 7 triple redline led lightbarthat I installed on my ram 1500,

I need this for my car.

I see a lot of tailgate kits saying how bright their reverse lights are. When they show a video of them . It is always daylight outside or shop lights are on. How about a night view or turn shop lights off to see how bright they really are. Not hating on any body's product. Just want to see the difference.

I'd say this was helpful but, I would have like to see what u were actually down from ur view not from across the room...

good video except on my f 150, the computer thinks there is a trailer when light is plugged in and throws codes on dash and lights do not work. With truck off, they work fantastic. Has to be direct wired into harness to work properly. Mine is a 2022 F I50

So I have a 2016 frontier, to connect the reverse wire on the reverse light, there are 2 wires, one black and one blue, which one do I use to connect the wire?

Spend the money and get the 7pin to 4pin adapter saves you a lot of time

How are you avoiding the hole for the tube the access the spare tire lowering mechanism?😊

I don't want to drill a hole in a piece of plastic that will be hid by the plate because it's a lease. So instead let me splice into the factory wiring because the will love that! Lmao

Curtis makes a harness that plugs into the back side of your trailer harness underneath the vehicle. Then you just plug in your light bar. Only splicing is for reverse then, all other connections are plug in

How do you get the tailight option to work

I have a 5 flat adaptor and my running lights won’t work, signals, reverse and brakes are fine

It would be Florida. See these things all over.

I watch so many of these videos with LEDs and it pains me to see guys run wires all over the underside of their trucks without a loom. Two years later, are the lights holding up?

I have the same bar, 4 of my red lights stop working on the far left. It's only 4 months old. Can the bulbs be replaced, or do I need a new strip. Great when they all work. Looks like crap when they dont.

i bought a double row led light bar for my 95 chevy hooked it up and everything works except tail lights if u verly stick the plugs together one half will light up other half wont bought a new light bar thinking the other was faulty it doing same thing just on taillights any ideas

Probably a bad fuse on your truck bud check the fuse box

Papakap22 seen that ! I cringe at these backyard mechanics that destroy the factory harness for nothing . That is a ticking time bomb now , leaving an open connection right behind the right rear wheel in the track of the water mist, what could possible go wrong ... hope no one paid for “professional installation “ on this.

I see this all over KZread. If I paid for installation and saw a Scotchlock I would return it and make them pay for the new wiring to the taillight.

What’s the longevity of the LED light strip? Did it last at least a year so so, cause some don’t last a month, I’m just wondering?

If you hard wire with the correct procedure and take all precautions to make it permanent heat wrap electrtape dielectric grease 3m connection it can be the next fort Knox and you have no worries over the life of the warranty given to you

I have an 2020 150 u can't plug into the flat connector, it shows u r hooked up to a trailer and your back up camera doesn't work proper

No you have to also connect ur blinker wire to the blinker bulb wire and im lost about which wire to connect to lol

My Running Light No turn ON

I lost my backup camera after install. It thinks I now have a trailer hooked up. Any way to bypass this and get my camera back? Thanks for the help.

Try connecting the power for the camera in a location other than the trailer plug connector.

@@refmanpgh7771 I have the same issue back ups sensors and blind spot are disabled...did some digging and looks like it's going to be hard lined into the taillights. More work but it will fix the problem supposedly. Going to do it another day

QUESTION: I have a 2017 Ford F-150 XLT and my tailgate has the built in step. With that feature they added a bracket (FORD PART # 99107B72) on the right side to the back end of the bed to support the use of the step when the tailgate is open. The location of the bracket affects and limits the installation of a tailgate light bar. Is there a work around or solution to this obstacle? Thanks in advance.

Ive seen that f150 kickstand, But I thought they just slid out of the top of the left side on the tailgate, no?

Hi. Yes that is correct they do but there is a bracket mounted on the end of the bed that locks the tailgate if or when the step is used. That bracket interferes with the mounting of the tailgate bar the way you have demonstrated. I noticed that on your demonstration on the truck the holes are present on the right side of the bed towards the end. I would really like to install the tailgate bar but the bracket limits of affect my ability to do so. Just wondering if there was a work around... I just installed mine today and wasnt sure. I wad thinking about putting some type of glue on the clip part that goes on the light and then drill it to the truck but i did want to damage the light strip

Amateur and professional installation ok .....why didn't you use butt connector and or with interweave braiding of the 2 copper wire connections and heat shrink wrap on the reverse light connection and electrical tape with dielectric grease

Is the light bar still working ok after a year?

The irony of saying that you use looms to make the install “more professional” but you use t-taps in an area that gets wet AF instead of soldering the joint and using heat shrink, or even liquid rubber, to make it waterproof 🤔

LJ you need to move all the connections to your tail lights to get around the trailer detected feature on the truck.

Okay guys I am stumped I bough one of these and I have a 2000 gmc 1500 all the functions work but the running lights I tested to make sure it has power etc and it says it does but when I go to my dads ford and plug it in it works

Yea take the tailgate off or else your gona end up scratching the tailgate with the bumper like i did

I had to install this on a ranger well there was no space on the "metal" of the rear of the truck or tailgate there was plastic bumper shield we asked the owner to mod the bumper for installation ok no problem

I dont get it, why would I want these Christmas lights on my truck in the middle of july?
