They are so adorable I loved how they each listened while the other was speaking before talking. Sign of respect.

Gosh, they were so breathtakingly beautiful in their primes. I was a kid when this movie came out, I remember seeing promos of it on TV. I was told it was controversial and I was too young to see it. Came to see it years later and was blown away, consider it the greatest movie of the phenomenal year that was 1999

Cool to see Tom and Nicole in their absolute prime. Kubrik knew how to pick´em.

Watching the movie twice made me realize I had to watch it more than twice.

Tom Cruise is one of the few movie stars with charisma. You truly can't take your eyes off of him.

Agree. I distinctly remember the first time I noticed she had gotten botox. She had the standard frozen forehead and eyebrow drop. I think she has figured out a good balance now but back then she looked bizarre.

One of my favorite movies ever. I've watched it too many times to keep count. Both are gorgeous & phenomenal actors. I've always been amazed at how sweet and humble Nicole has always despite being an A-list actress.

I think honestly she is no angel...apparently tom cannot have children even suri is not his bioligically which is how katie has managed to get him out of suris life...and nicole admitted she had a miscarriage when he filed for divorce...i trully believe she cheated..!! And hence he doesnt say much ...cos he would have to reveal things he would prefer the world not to knoe..also she had children with keith but not with tom....her biological clock messed it up...!!

@@CptnChan I don’t think Cruise’s career direction was anything to do with Kubrick dying. They only did one film together. He just seemed to choose less interesting roles from around 2005 onwards, really due to the success of his MI blockbusters.

They didn't divorce right after. It was in 2001. However, cracks were beginning to show by the time this movie came out.

Jan's closing remark, "every grown up should see it twice" is very good. I'm happy to admit it took me far more than two viewings to appreciate it's greatness.

Tom and Nicole really loved each other in their marriage. A real partnership. I don't think I've seen Tom as comfortable with someone since that time. I hope I'm wrong about that of course. Maybe it's just me making a false comparison because you always see Nicole so outwardly blissful in her marriage And Tom is more private.

I'm not sure...she's very self-deprecating. That's very much her personality. I think they were both very sad while promoting the film because Stanley had died. Tom was also shooting MI2 and was very stressed due to problems with production.

I have been married for 21 years and to this day if I say something like this my partner would touch my hand or show some other warm gesture to show me that I can continue 😂.

All the people who are saying the movie was rubbish or frivolous... you literally watched it with your "Eyes Wide Shut". The movie requires the audience to open their eyes and see the hard truth that they would rather not see. It is a movie that you have to watch more than twice to fully appreciate what is going on :D

They are both very attractive and articulate in their speaking. He seems to be a very dominant man. As a woman I would stay far away although he is very attractive. Charming but he is Alpha. Nothing wrong with that. It only seems there is no space for a partner which is equivalent or outstages him. He doesn't like that and you can see it in this interview. In the actual film I remember being mad about Nicole's character. I hated every second of her "Dream" as she intimated it to Tom's character. I guess that was the point.

Not to be a d**k, but did anyone else watch this through the lens of the marriage and eventual split just a few years later. It’s prett interesting reading their chemistry and seeing the contrast between their answers. The context that theyre both actor’s talking to the press about something that is personal has to be a challenge for them. Subtlety is fun to look for especially if you know the movie theyre in so well.
