Eyelash reroot on vintage Barbie
I did a little barbie restoration. How I reroot eye lashes on a barbie. NOTE I said I used Saran Hair I thought I bought some Saran hair but I do not think it was that brand of hair. This is synthetic hair.

Beautiful job!! 😍
I also use real hair from a track of hair. So many styling possibilities! Coloring or curling or straightening! Too bad they dont put real hair in to start with!
THAT IS ONE SCARY DOLL! AHHH! That is so creepy!
Hard to say what barbie she is because i did not see her hairstyle before you cut it but the first thing I thought was she could be a mod tnt with the hair color chocolate bon bon :)

The way her hair was originally rooted and the way the original hair lay. I am 99% she was the Mod Talking barbie with the side ponytail. I have re-rooted the TNT barbie with the classic half up ponytail. They have a different hair line that is very noticable on the side of the head. If that makes sense.

I wanna say she’s a 1970 living Barbie because of her hairline, her neck bevel, and her side glanced eyes

Hair fair barbie
I use a very small crochet hook to pull hair out
Great improvement!
Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Beautiful.💜💫
I don’t think she is a Talking Barbie but a Living Barbie head. They have larger neck holes. If you need a body, she will fit perfectly on modern Barbie bodies.
love the TNT
Wow, that was amazing...Re-rooting the eyelashes is probably one of the hardest things to do. I have not tried it yet, but I have a head that is going to be my "experimental head"....So wish me luck!
I would think using a cross stitch needle threader would make threading the hair much easier.
She looks like a Marlo Flip doll.
What are theese dolls called I have one and I’m looking too sell it but I do not know it’s name.
This was so useful, really! Thanks so much!!❤️❤️
Mattel did use the same sort of rooting machines to root the eyelashes. This was a very tedious process because the rerooting person had to hold the doll's head as the needle would jump out of position. Plus the vinyl in the eye area is thicker than the scalp area which broke many rooting needles when they rooted eyelashes. This caused more expense in the long run and was a chief reason why the rooted eyelashes were discontinued from the mainline dolls.
Better than new - congratulations!
She turned out great !! I love her hair color !! Love the eye lashes ! I hope you will show us how to put her arm back on.
Love it! Where do you get your tools and doll hair

I think you actually have a 1969 Dramatic Living Barbie head. The neck plug is made for a rotating neck knob instead of a peg neck knob. You really did a stellar job though on the re-root. =-)

I agree. The neck hole is the giveaway.
