i had the same problem at first, but its not about how close you get because as you get closer it comes back into vision. You have to move closer then move back and keep doing that, just looking at the red cross till the blue dot disappears :)

My identical twin sister is left eye while I'm right eye.

I'm not sure if I have a dominant eye, because when there are two things in front of me, if I focus on the thing in the background, I see two of the image in the foreground; vise versa.

I don't have a dominant eye. I used to have an extremely dominant right eye, so dominant that the left one almost stopped working altogether. I had a couple eye surgeries when I was 4 and 7. They corrected my eyes.

I'm right handed but my left eye is dominant... I'm confused. :/

The dominant eye didn't work because it all depends upon which eye you start with. If you make the triangle with your hands, keeping your left eye open, then yes, when you switch, the object being seen with the right eye WILL look partially covered. Try it..let me know if this is true.

I can't tell if I'm right or left eye dominant, when I did the triangle test and close my left eye the object was slightly cut off on the right. But when I closed my right eye it was the same thing but the left side was clipped. Am I EVEN MORE SPECIAL!?

For the dominant one when I close my left I it goes to the right and when I close my right eye it goes to the left so do I not have a dominant eye

The object is in the corner of the triangle for both eyes. I don't have a dominant eye, I guess?

You have to change where the phone is so make it go far out and slowly get it closer

On the last one, either eye I closed Mae it to where I couldn’t see the object. Is that bad? Should I be concerned?

I dont have a dominant eye. when im looking with both my eyes its double. so I cant figure out where The Middle is.

Move closer or farther(depending on how close you are to your computer) slowly, then it should work.

Mimi ButtMuffin Yeah same, moving closer didn't make it disapear but I moved backward a little and poof, no more blue dot

I sometimes see my veins when light is going directly into them it's cool i love doing it

I am also left eye dominant. I write with my right hand, swing golf clubs lefty and hockey.

I'm that 20%. I feel kinda special. Until I read the comments.

what if u can still see the blue point and dont have a dominant eye? so my "blind spot" is smaller than the blue point? And both eyes are equal?^^

I've been doing the dominant eye thing for as long as I can remember I always thought it was so weird the world moved when I closed one eye

My left eye is messed up for long distances and forces me to have glasses, so I'm not surprised I'm right eye dominant.

The blue dot doesn't disappear for me (until I get too close to my somewhat large screen to see it, even with both eyes open)

I can't wait for BuzzFeed Rainbow.

Every time we'd do archery in school I was the only one who had to use a left handed bow even though I was right handed, just because I was left eye dominant

Is the dominant eye thing connected to your dominant hand? Because my right hand is dominant, but im left eye dominant

The blue spot didn't disappear it stayed within my vision even when I closed my left eye!

Seeing the veins in my eyes was super vague. I had to keep shaking the paper for like five minutes before I could see it. And the dominant eye didn't really work for me. I tried it with an object on my right and my right eye was dominant. I tried with one on the left and my left eye was dominant. I tried sitting right in front of the object(still a little far away) and I could see the same amount of the object with both eyes. That's crazy!

I saw from other video comments that there are less common cases where both eyes are considered dominant - not sure the whole ratio aspect of it (like higher R/L dominancy, or if it is alternating like you said or works simultaneously as the 'dominant' eye~ but that's interesting nevertheless! :D I have ever only been 'right-dominant' when i did these tests

I’m both left handed and left eye dominant. I wonder if there’s a connection between the two?

the last one i actully know because it happens to me often but i dont need the triangle for it and im left which for me is very weird because i think my body is like "righted" and not "lefted" but yea maybe this one thing not :)
