Extremely rusty big old knife restoration. This old rusty knife was found by a metal detector in the woods. It's a very big knife, I don't know what it was used for. I don't know how old this knife is. I think the knife is from the early 20th century. I decided to restore this rusty knife. I removed the rust and made a new handle. I hope you liked my restoration.

I like a lot your videos you know how to catch the whole process and sound. It is not matter only the restoration but the way to go there, the first 3 to 5min are so well maded. There have few other ytubers which trying but can't do what you do! They don't put a soul and heart.

almost looks like an old "butcher-knife", my granddad (chef (cook)) had these, too; they seemed oversized for any use, but he explained they were used to cut "industrial size" meat into "servable sizes" - though i never had the opportunity to check if this is true

It is a butcher knife designed to cut down large primal like tenderloins. It was large to keep as few as cut marks with one long stroke.
Ви дуже добре працюєте з металом, навіть відмінно 👍🏻. Але ручки тобі зовсім не підходять - більшість із них посередні 🤷🏻♂️.
I don't know how to do this myself, I'm not knowledgeable on this subject, I'm asking this from genuine ignorance and curiosity. Won't those pits eventually be a problem?

It is quite simple to get a new knife…
worst looking handle and fitment I've seen in a restoration video I've seen in a while. didn't even cut anything with it at the end.
