This was a matriarchal herd, but there was also an adult, calm bull (not in musth) among them, which we could see up close. How is this possible?!

@@travelingmansafaris6774 It's okay, I understand that. But how does an adult bull elephant end up in a matriarchal herd?! In matriarchal herds, there are adult cows with their calves, from newborn to subadult age, but no adult bulls, they only join the herd for the mating season. But this bull was not in musth, he seemed completely calm.
