Elephants of Mfuwe Lodge

Every year when the mangoes are ripe a family of wild elephants visit Mfuwe Lodge. Led by their matriarch Wonky Tusk they carefully make their way through the Lodge's reception area and onto the the grounds where the mango tree stands.

I've wanted to go there the second I saw it. It was Jack Hannah's animal adventures, I think. Correct me if I'm wrong, there used to be a village there years ago and the elephants ended up trampling a hut that was right there where that lodge is, right there where you saw them pass through. The villagers were of course more than startled. I'm not sure if anyone died. Upon further research, those elephants ancestors and their ancestors used that same migratory route. This route is extremely precise and this lodge demonstrates that. Truly exceptional.

  • @jessiejames7492

that happened in another village...the villagers burnt fires and hurled sticks at the elephants when they elephants came through their village eating whatever they had. of course i dont blame the villagers ..they were protecting their own ...But as they say, elephants never forget...

So basically every year mom decides the family needs a vacation. It even looks like mom is checking in at the front desk. So does the resort maintain any accommodations for these regulars? Like a mini bar (buckets of fresh water), turn down service (a dry area with comfy hay to lay on) , in room massage/aromatherapy vichy shower (a good spray down with the hose)?
