I wish he would have made it through completely. Would have been my choice as well... but full flaps, 60 nozzles and then fly it like a Wagnermobile in Case I, throttle for vertical rate. Best pitch control, steady 120-130kts and top notch acceleration when you get to that last oil rig to pass the flak ASAP.

Hey, Cap and Co., I just want to say that you folks are the reason that I want to get into DCS. Thank you for the -obscenely funny- big sexy content, and I hope to fly alongside you someday!

For the past weeks(Carolina lock down) I've enjoyed your campaigns and skill party's,EXTREME Skill Obstacle Course Competition - Oct 2019 | DCS WORLD, to name the last one I watched. Looking back the skill parties to me are the most fun. I've had DCS loaded on my gamer but have been reluctant to learn it. Your crew have changed my mind. Thanks again for the fun I've had watching what is possible.

Love the competitions!! I've watched all of them. Man the collision models are messed up, the Oil Rig base legs have a tiny collision diameter, and the light poles have giant ones!... They should invert the values or somat. Sigh.. My favorite was the F-86 that went underground for a moment, but then succumbed to a light pole. Those things are deadly!.. Greets to all

46:40 that P-51 was dead center under the bridge when the game gave him a prop strike! What a raw deal!

I don’t even have a gaming PC but I watch all of your videos and this one was hilarious. It looked like you chaps had a great time.

This ended up being a lot more entertaining then I thought it would be(I usually prefer the serious content and tutorials). Thanks GR! A thought, you should release this mission so we can try as well (and it will be directly comparable).

This show DCS needs more improvements, but apparently it is the Best simulator I ever loved... Keep it up Grim Reapers and Eagle Dynamics too...

L-39 would have been my choice, not only a trainer but a jet to boot. You're fast and stable, exactly what you need for this.

I don't know how the jet is in this game, but the albatross is very hard to fly well in real life. The controls are extremely sensitive.

@@Demonslayer20111 - Obviously you lack any experience with aviation. Otherwise you'd understand the difference between easy to fly and hard to fly well. No, it definitely does not defeat the purpose of it being a trainer.

The TF51 actually has one of the widest wingspans flown after the F15 and f18 only by 3 feet

The problem these guys are having is that they're not using rudder. When you don't use proper rudder control, you aren't maintaining coordinated flight and the aircraft is very hard to control. That's why the nose of the aircraft in this video is dancing all around and they're almost always crashing after rolling the birds.

Some total masochist should do this in an F-14.

LOL, you really need to organise a DCS Olympics and invite other squadrons to contribute one competitor to each event.

Roll rate is a bit slow and rudder is slightly more stiff at high speeds.. plus the engine torgue wants to roll you over more violently in the 109 which can make it more super tricky for intricate maneuvers... Should be rolling as little as possible in this challenge though 😉 more rudder. In all honesty I don't think the 109 would be that bad for this if you (have godlike throttle control) don't let it accelerate away on you too much.. it acelerates too easily and quickly for this kind of business haha she's no novice aircraft for sure, trainers would be the go to for this aerobatic stuff

They should land on the first carrier then take off, trying to get through the course

I've got interests that are too diversified though, currently fixing my motorcycle, about to build a semi auto MG42, got a classic car I need to rebuild. too many irons in the fire haha

I remember that event. The pilot was written up for not following the instructors order to bail, then promoted for his skills. Even made a tv movie about it.

Reminds me of an Atari game called barns and windmills lol

This reminds me of Crimson Skies and that horrible Stunt pilot mission in Hollywood that was designed to make you stop playing the game.
