Whoever was giving the running instructions and calling out targets was doing a pretty good job in giving clear and calm instructions.

I luv how everyone is flying into battle all quiet and focused. All we need is the topgun music playing softly in the background.

That feel when you’ve been born in Nalchik and been around Nalchik-Pyatigorsk-Mineralnye Vody all your life, lol. Unfortunately game doesn’t represent it like it is in reality. I remember playing DCS and flying over it to spot familiar places, but didn’t find one except for main stadium. Cool vid :D

Imagine the russians implement something like numbers that only come up in low density atmosphere. So you have to equip it on a plane, then see it from there. Would be useless though. (Unless nuclear codes)

It was a BRA call, standing for Bearing, Range, Altitude. It can also be a BRAA call with the the last A meaning aspect. So your flying north and you ask AWACS for bogey dope. He will respond with, “Your callsign, His callsign, Bandit, BRA, 120 for 50, angels 30. So he is Bearing 120, 50nm away from you, and he’s at 30,000 feet.

Formation takeoff like that never gets old!

How do you guys assign the "AWACS" coordinator role, and how does he accomplish that job? It seems like having an air boss must be a huge advantage in scenarios like this one

Was sitting here watching and a thought occured to me. Would be awesome if you could have a spectator act as an AWACS battle manager. If DCS would allow the spectator to have access to map, a radar, and be able to assign aircraft to threats. Would free up pilots to fly and fight.

they do actually, if you join the server and don't spawn in any plane you can access the map and see all the battlefield and become a ATC/GCI to help out buddys calling out bandits and help them survive..and I think there's an external app called LotAtc that you can connect to DCS World server so you can be ATC/GCI without going into the game..

I noticed a discrepancy in the tomcat cockpit. The metal chassis supporting all the instruments is a light blue, but in life it was painted black. I used to replace avionics in some and noticed that.

Currently getting back into DCS after dabbling with Flaming Cliffs many years ago. Grabbed an F-5E but also an F-18 while it was cheap. Can't wait to learn to fly it so I can jump online as callsign "Douchebag" and raise some hell.

Probably a stupid question that has been answered at this point, but what voice command system are you using? Looks quite handy. I never really played DCS due to not learning all the systems and button locations, but since I found the channel I have been thinking of giving it a go again.

I think it's totally fine. By zooming you're compensating for being restricted by the pixels of your screen. Your eyes would recognize alot more details from the same perspective compared to watching at a screen.

Cap you need to get someone to Mod you the F21 Attack Super Tomcat it was going to be a replacement for the F14 and was almost Identical to the F-14 Just with a upgraded Radar, the engines with thrust Vectoring from F22 Raptor Or F35A. APG 82. AESA. And a New canopy. These were originally recommended for the F-14 E. The F-21 was going to have a larger main body to incorporate the high speed vains and a good amount of composites for lighter weight and radar absorbing.

Do you still use opentrack for delanclip, they recommend Facetracknoir now and you can move around the cockpit as well as look around very accurately using FTnoIR
