There's so much personality in this. So much of it is gorgeous. What a wonderful coincidence that you used the same type of wallpaper as bestdressed. I love bestdressed's apartment makeover vids, they're just so deeply satisfying, and I've been searching for the same vibe ever since she stopped making KZread videos. Upon finding your video, I've realised that the highly specific genre that I crave is eccentric home makeovers with heavily invested narrators that talk about their life, passions, and the decor in equal measure. Please invest in a good desk and chair though, haha.

I too am a Virgo and am currently sitting watching you from my own snug/office/craft room/library in England. It has such a similar vibe so was a pleasure to see a like minded fellow Virgo and made me feel a bit less ‘mad’ for the organised chaos that soo brings me joy! You have a new subscriber because of that and look forward to more content. Definitely don’t burn real candles unless you are totally present, I almost had a complete disaster with my wall sconce candles, wax all over the objects below and so close to setting the house on fire. Remote controlled battery candles and flickering bulbs in lights are a worthy and safe alternative. Would love to see your room at night, to get the ambience. Good job girl! X

YES FINALLY someone with the same thought as me, my style is everything, all at once.

This is all SO EXTREMELY close to my exact taste. My husband and I collect authentic Victorian, but I’m a Hufflepuff who love faeries and unicorns! We’re both artists in every way, so we collect oil paintings, porcelain, tables, chairs (I’m sitting in my 1880’s Hunzinger rocking chair right meow, 😂) and of course I have crystals, and all that too. The only thing I’m missing is a cat. I could use a white Persian cat with blue eyes, name him Sir Pewdence and my life would be complete. 💚 I enjoyed your renovation. 😂👏

Like you, I'm struggling trying to figure out how to meld the two different aesthetics that I gravitate towards. You did a fabulous job mixing yours and I love it!!! I'm definitely getting some of that wallpaper 😊

Fun décor - my home is created in a similar way of hunt and collect. , I have many religious shrines which inspire my prayer and worship. I do have some Disney, Universal and old objects and the walls are a gallery of my paintings and collected sculpture. Arranging the objects to make esthetic sense and going with your personal interest's make the Maximalist house into a museum of eclectic joy! Great job - now keep looking for your bigger desk and comfy office chair!

The description at the beginning of everything you want in a room style sounds very much like my description of the kinds of books I like. I have very broad tastes, I wouldn't begin to know how to put my favorites on a numbered list, and what I want most frequently changes with my mood, which is why I often read multiple books at the same time, just trading them off until they're finished, except that I also frequently start another one before that.

Wall paper makes excellent shelf liners or you could cover over the plastic organizers with it. Just some ideas. I love what you did with the room!

I really love the fancy clock on the dresser! Also, that fringed lamp is just perfect! I love the room so much! I will never tire of rooms, and houses that make me think of haunted Victorian mansions!

That little "dresser"is acutally a night stand that would be next to a bed. Love the room, very elegantly eclectic!! The work desk would look better with a older looking desk, if you can come arcoss one. But over all, it's an awesome room, love the wall paper. I totally get your personality. Your aesthetics are beautiful and whimsical and I totally get it. We are a rare breed, but that is okay. The modern humans can keep their polished steel and boring minimalistic style. I personally can’t stand that every time I walk into someone’s house I see the exact same artwork and furniture pieces as I saw in the last 20 houses I have visited. It’s like deja vu in a bad way. I just found a secretary desk at my local goodwill that is between 150 and 200 years old. It’s gorgeous and has the most wonderful patina, and I can’t wait to get it home. I am moving in with my boyfriend this summer and will be getting my own hobby room in the basement where I can decorate it with all my vintage and antique stuff. Going for a dark academia/ dark fairy/ goblin core/ victorian library style room. Love the little mouse lamp you had. I have a cheecky monkey lamp from AliExpress that I can’t wait to hang in a corner. Love from Denmark
