You did the Extreme Queen tribute a few years ago, but doesn't look like you've done their songs. You may know some of their old hits like more than words, but they're back with some new music and making guitar relevant again. nuno puts on a master class on how a guitar should be played, something sorely missing in much modern rock. while the song can be interpreted like any song, it's basically about how the record industry brought bands to the top and then left them for the next big thing. they were a band from the '80s , broke up, and are now back with a vengeance. Well, i think so lol

That's cause their not that great. However this is a pretty good song. I think they just got too... Extreme.

@@guitarexpert2245 they're very good. Lyrically, they can be a little silly sometimes, but Queen is their biggest influence, and Queen had some pretty silly songs too.

Just saw a list of the 75 best hard rock and metal guitarists by Loudwire...he wasn't even on it. Yet, they put Kurt Cobain and Joan Jett on the list. Ridiculous.

@@bamacapt115 Eddie stopped by Nuno's house while he was working on the solo, not long before he passed. They were friends and the solo sort of turned into a tribute.
They have always been a solid band, it's good to see them back at it after all these years.
They are back with a vengeance. They deserve all the fame they get this time around. Amazing!!
They've found the fountain of youth and inspiration. From cookie cutter rock and metal to this . If you are a guitar nerd and hear everything Nuno is doing the whole song. He is kicking ass.
Imagine being one of THE absolute best rock guitarists on the planet AND never getting old. Some people get everything...

Nuno is a beast but the whole band is also on fire. This is such a strong track...so happy they are back!

Nuno's always been an incredible guitarist - and not enough people know that. This vid makes me feel so damn old, because the first "jaw dropping" solo I heard from Nuno was on "Play With Me" from Bill & Ted back in, what, 1989? I've been a fan ever since.

Yeah, right there with ya. I was in high school when their first album came out. Friend of mine said you have to check this out, this Nuno guy is the best damn guitarist ever. After listening to the album I couldn't argue. Been a fan ever since.

Nuno doesn't age. He looks the same as he did in the early 90's. Plus, he's a beast of a guitar player.
are they on a label??.. hahaha I love these kind of remarks. one word, Pornograffitti. I get it, before your time, but realize the guitar player, Nuno Bettencourt will be 57 years old in Sept. and he's doing this on the guitar... untouchable.
When you were like a 3rd of the way thru the solo I was like.....wait for it. lol
...and I LOVE their reaction to the solo.....yes it is that hard!!!
Got the new album last Friday, got tickets to see them in the UK in December - I can't wait
They've released 3 other tracks from their new album that came out last Friday. Check out those and "Cupid's Dead" live in Boston from 2009. 🤘🤘🤘

This band back in the 80s was soooo under rated
I really love them, especially Nuno! One of my favorite guitarists. Their videos are always a treat. Nuno's riffs are unmistakable no matter what he plays. He's typically heavy on the low end of the spectrum.
FUCKING LOVE IT !! 64 yr old R&R Chick here again...Thanks for the Ride !! got to watch 1st time with you!! At 1st thought Love lead singer ( gave me Andrew of Sisters of Mercy vibe, met in the 90's at Electric Factory in Philly) THEN AWESOME Guitar work all around!! Great way to start the Day !! They have been around for almost 40 years. More than words ..play w me hole hearted
This has been my favorite band since I first heard them in the early 90s. To this day they are still #1 for me. Most well rounded,talented band on earth. Can literally play all genres of music. Us long time extreme fans are not shocked by nuno at all here. We've been singing his praises for decades. He's unmatched .
NUNO.. we’ve been saying since the 80’s-90’s… hands down most amazing guitar player on the planet. During the bands break up.. he played for Rhianna( underutilized though , but hey the $$ was good lol) check him out with Steve Vai, dude from Rage( pissed drawing blank on his name) and others.. just a brilliant player.. and always having fun.

Killer band. Saw them back in 91 and been a huge fan ever since. Nuno is among the best of the best and he just doesn’t get the recognition. He deserves in my opinion.

To see them in 2023, not having changed their music, is just so awesome. It's been so long that we had something we could call "good" music. Listen to this kids! Not this BS music you get to hear from radiostations nowadays.

I just got the CD and listened to the entire thing this week. It's really an amazing compilation of hard rock, folk and love songs. This is the best Extreme I've ever heard by far on this CD. This is a great song but not my fave. Little back story on the band. In the 80s I worked with a woman who was dating Paul Geary, the original drummer. They used to be called The Dream, but had to change the name. They came up with Extreme. Janine turned me on to them early in their careers and they've been rocking ever since. Nuno was not the original guitarist and this is a different drummer as well. Gary has always been the singer. We had many fun times going to see them play at the Channel in Boston, booze cruise in Boston Harbor, etc.

Remember the song ‘More Than Words’? Came out as a single in 1992(ish)… worldwide hit from their album Pornograffitti. That’s these guys!! It made me chuckle when you asked if they had a label. Anyway.. Gary Cheron, the singer, is in his 60s now.. and Nuno Bettencourt, the guitarist is 57 (I think). They’ve not been active for some time.. but this new album is amazing. They’ve released singles.. this one is good, but even better is ‘Other Side of the Rainbow’ - if you like Queen - you’ll like it, it’s my favorite! Thanks for a great reaction.. will be excited to hear you do more reactions to Extreme.

Only one word needed: Nuno Bettencourt - The one and only guitar hero. Amazing as always. Their biggest hits was "Get the Funk Out" from 1990 and the balad "More Than Words" from 1991.

I've liked extreme for years, but this album is just not it in ny opinion.
You thought That was good check out the track "Rebel".
The whole album is a tribute to Eddie Van Halen….lots of Eddie type riffs!
