I met up with 5 Mexican Guys (goo.gl/ankJN3, and they just started their channel since I met them, so go check them out!) to go on an ultimate Mexican street food tour of Mexico City. It was one of the greatest food days I had in Mexico, and we tasted so many incredible dishes.
La Esquina del Chilaquil - For breakfast in La Condesa, there’s no better place to check out than La Esquina del Chilaquil, their tortas are delicious.
Price - 40 MXN ($2.14) each
Mercado de San Juan - I wanted to quickly check out this market, but it wasn’t all that busy when we went - there wasn’t too much going on. So we had a quick scorpion and then continued on to the ultimate street food market.
Scorpion - 160 MXN ($8.54) for 4
Mercado de La Merced - Mexico City is packed with street food, but if you want a food experience that’s busy, in your face, and always exciting and delicious, Mercado de la Merced is one of the greatest places to start. You’ll encounter massive amounts of street food that will blow your mind with how delicious they are. Here are the things we ate at the market:
Quesadilla - 57 MXN ($3.04) for 3
Fries tacos - 20 MXN ($1.07) each
Pancita - 40 MXN ($2.14) per bowl
Pambazo
Mamey - 15 MXN ($0.80)
Mango - 15 MXN ($0.80)
Churrería El Moro - This wasn’t street food, but we needed a little afternoon break, and there’s no better spot in Mexico City for churros than Churrería El Moro.
Total price - 439 MXN ($23.44) for all
Esquites - 20 MXN ($1.07) - After walking around El Zocalo - the center of Mexico City, we then had a corn snack os esquites where they add corn, mayo, cheese, and chili salsas to a cup. It’s pretty tasty.
Loncheria La Rambla - Next we tried a Mexican style turkey sandwich - it was alright, but not the best food of the day.
Torta de pavo - 35 MXN ($1.87) each
Taquería Los Cocuyos - And finally to end this Mexico City street food tour with 5 Mexican Guys, we headed to Taquería Los Cocuyos, a legendary taco stall in the heart of the center of the city. The tacos are amazing, and it was the perfect was to end this day of incredible Mexican food.

@Juan Taco I do not blame the Mexican people for feeling the way they do about the US. I would feel the same way. Just thankful that Mexican culture has begun to have a larger influence on US culture. The Mexican love of life and the resilience of the Mexican people is something that people in the US could use a lot more of.

Gotta make sure you fill up, we hate hearing that people are hungry. "A nadie se le niega un taco." "You never deny someone a taco." Basically, we might not give a beggar money, due to us being broke too, but they're always welcome to a plate, even if we barely have enough for us.

I wish I was born in Mexico, I love their culture! I don't care what others saying about being 3rd World Country etc. The people "radiate" so much positive energy and have so much appreciation for life even with the minimal stuff provided to them. I have been cooking since I was three and my favorite food is all things Mexican then weird Asian foods... I use to not really like this guy. But ever since ive seen his Mexico videos i started appreciating him more and more. He really makes you feel like youre there and he is the best at what he does. Hands down.
That food must be really delicious. I can actually see love in their eyes. The expressions are priceless.. Way to make everyone watching smile...and ready to take the next flight out.

100% worth staying up until 2am to watch this video. Mark you are real expert at filming while surrounded by people, market stalls etc.The guys taking you around seem really lovely and I'm positive that you were able to teach them a lot about making food videos. Every country I've seen has good food that's the beauty of diversity different types food. I love Mexican, Brazilian, Pakistan, Italian,and Argentina and Peruvian food lol alot different countries with similar ingredients almost like cousins meats and plates are same type of color and similarly

The government we had before was very corrupt. They were selling all the wealth of Mexico. The government of Mexico was part of drug trafficking, but now Mexico is on the right track with AMLO, in the next few years Mexicans will not need to emigrate to The United States ... Mexico is going to be a power in the coming years

Oh my God! I saw the entire video and I’m in love with México 🇲🇽. Everything looks spectacular and the people look super friendly. Will check out the five mexican guys as well. I think us in America should take out of our minds this image we have of Mexico being a scary place. Every country has good and bad things (I’m from Puerto Rico and the same thing applies) I say that we should focus on the amazing people and beautiful culture and traditions from all of our countries. ¡Viva Mexico! @@sararegan3767 certain places try to preserve food so they will only give you so much but in these countries their food prices are low and they give you more than a lot vs you paying a lot of money just to get a little bit of food .
Before i visit another country, i always watch your videos... and i fell i am enjoying even more those trips with the tips you give. I'm very thankfull. Next stop, MEXICO!

Have traveled quite a bit around Mexico, have been to this giant market. I always look forward to all the great food but usually after a few weeks I begin to struggle with the lack of healthier eating options when eating out. Fresh fruit at breakfast is pretty common, but the majority of food tends to be fried and healthy eating options can be a challenge depending on where you are in Mexico. I love Mexico, out of the 20 countries I’ve traveled too I think the people in Mexico are probably the friendliest.

Tere. Mexicans always pay his food. Is very cheap and tasty. they eat that kind of food every day. That is the reason the food spots are full of people.
Last time I went to Mexico City for my cousins wedding. Was there a week before the actual wedding. I toured around Mexico City & ate everything I could so the dress didn’t fit a week later 😥😭😂 but it was all worth it!!! I love Mexico City!

I was fortunate in my youth to have made friends with a family of Mexicans. The food was amazing and so interesting to learn the culture. I never knew what real Mexican food was until I was invited for dinner. I spent a lot of time with them after that lol. They ended up moving to California years ago but I still miss them.
