36:20 The 63 jumps reminds me of the moment in Lisa where you climb up a LONG way, like a ridiculous distance, and when you get to the top it's an actual middle finger sign. THEN, when you try to fall off the cliff and die to reset (like any other cliff in the game) a "helpful" text box pops up telling you that you should climb down because you wouldn't wanna fall that far. The ONLY time the game prevents you from killing yourself is when it takes like 2 actual minutes to climb down the ladder lmao.

The thing is, I'm not sure if SimpleFlips saw that other SMM2 streamers like Carl amd Geek were making and sharing hot garbage levels with each other to see who could make the hottest of the hot, and he wanted a piece of that, or if he just woke up one morning and decided to create this monstrosity. I think the level was great, fun, challenging, and teaches you how to drive for 5 hours. Honestly, as the third person to beat it, i think i'm ready to get my licence and dominate the road!

You know what would've been extra fucked up? Putting a locked key warp block right at the end that leads to an anti-softlock

Yeah, you know when you drop someones baby off a cliff and they just... "Ah."

Simpleflips: I don't want to make a level so bad that someone like Joel would not want to play it Joel: *Literally streams for more than 16 hours on one singular attempt to beat the level he makes for SimpleFlips*

I remember him showing it off briefly, but it seemed mostly to be a super cryptic maze full of red coins

The first Desert Bus was vast and rough like the desert sands, and the second was complicated and choked like the jungle. Art in motion.

What a masterpiece. I'm so glad it's now a video instead of just a stream, I was really mad when I found out that I couldn't watch any of the streams. Thank you Simpleflips! I will now watch the Vods when I have time

The simpleflips - Joel Mariomaker rivalry is one of the most interesting and funny things in the entire mario maker community. I just wish there was mire of it. But then again, you can't force art. It wouldn't be so good if it was done too much.

Hasn't anyone ever adressed why Joel hasn't played this yet? Has Simple not shown it to him, or did Joel or Simple not want to do it? Is there Technical difficulties maybe? Did everyone forget about this project? Does nobody like it anymore? Are Joel or Simple taking their time with it maybe? I doubt that there's issues behind the scenes because you'd feel ripples of that in Joel's streams. I'll be patiently waiting still, like I have for the past months. Even if there is no goal anymore.

That fucking "moaning lisa" joke nearly got me evicted because I busted my lungs so hard. It's the subtle dumbshit that hits me at my core.

holy shit the camera framerate on the shbphbpbhpbhp in the beginning is satisfying

Man. This is honestly a really great level. It's extremely frustrating but seemingly easier than the first desert bus, but maybe seemingly is the only fitting word for it. There's are a lot of sections that are easier but then you get comfortable with those parts, too comfortable with it, and then you fuck up anyway so the end feels EXTRA tense every time by the time you get there. The springs to make sure your car doesn't die all the time i think are what make the level way more fun and that instance where the spring pit is just alive. I can honestly see this one in particular sent to a lot of people because it isn't excruciatingly torturous, it's just very dumb and silly. It's great.
