I don't think the dictionary definitions or common usage agree with you. I used to argue the same thing (that's what my mom taught me), but someone disagreed with me, i looked it up, and found myself to be wrong, in that they're basically interchangeable. Though the father joke is hilarious 😂

Linguist here :) Farther and Further mean "more far" Farther is based on distance (He walked a farther distance yesterday) Further is used when you go over an excess (He spent further than he could) / (You went further ahead and finished all your affairs)

Farther is for distance, while further is for progress. A mountain is farther away than the hills, but is only further away if you plan on getting there.

Further is "more", but some people also use it for distance. E.g.: _"Needs further research"_ If you stick with further being more and farther being distance you'll be OK with most people.

Watching this marathon is the best way to understand how cool simpleflips is, but it also made me notice how uncool I am. The best part is that it ultimately makes you notice you CAN be as cool as simpleflips, all you need to do is do it big and spend 1 hour every day inside the fridge.

aw man this reminds me of when I was babysitting and let these like, seven year old kids play this game. I didn't tell them I had a spare wiimote, and I started making some spoooooky sounds and randomly waving the pointer when they weren't looking. Never told them it was me either. Good times!

I tried playing this game once after playing New Soup DS and really liking it. I gave up around World 2 because I was bored already. Hearing Simple with the same sentiment was the most validating shit I've ever heard.

Nahh you have to play this with siblings or friends, singleplayer is kinda miserable even if more efficient

I'll never forget that this game was the first time they brought back the Koopalings and it was an exciting bullet point that every critic brought up... then they just kept bringing the Koopalings back in every game and everyone got sick of them.

I remember playing this game for the first time, getting to World 2, then stopping. It would then proceed to take me 10 more years and at least three separate more attempts to find the way past World 2, just because I was so f-ing bored of it. Then once I finally did, I beat the game that same week.

the best part of "mario maker level" at 1:18:42 is that simple said it at the exact same time I remembered that multiplayer level where bowser kept turning around to target players who'd already died and completely stalling out level progression
