For the mug: repurpose it. Use it as a pencil holder (or markers, scissors, glue), even maybe in the craft or homework bin; or use it to store tiny kitchen gadgets in. This way your son sees it in use, but it's not needing to be hand-washed.

I'm so thankful for our kitchen! Our last house had a very small kitchen so I had to get creative with storage. I would do things like keep all my spatulas, etc in a large cup on the counter and I really minimized what I had. It was small but it was still a great kitchen!

I have started my decluttering 2024 with my kitchen today. Felt good. I did throw some expired food and spices and reorganizing some of the cabinets. The next room I want to declutter is my bathroom. Great video!😊😊😊

Same! There are so many more places I plan to do! It’s not always fun, but it’s soooo worth it! I love the feeling after I finish a declutter project❤️

New subscriber. ❤ your kitchen. It's triple the size of mine 😊. I have trouble getting rid of just in case items. That said, I've been peeling away the clutter like an onion. I recommend labels on the storage bins so the rest of family knows where things go. You can use the handcrafted mug as a pencil holder. Thanks for the motivation.

I just donated my food scale a couple of months ago and tell me why I keep having thoughts of rebuying one. Even though I’ve had no need for it since then. Sometimes the hoarding makes no sense and it really is a mental block that we have to push through. Love your expiration date method. I’ll have to try that.

I haven't read the other comments yet but if you throw away (recycle) your instruction books, be sure to list the model numbers, serial numbers, etc. for each item first. Makes it much easier to look it up online.

I too need to purge in my house… so much stuff! I noticed the herb savors in the cupboard- did I miss the update on how they worked? I’m assuming because you are keeping them, the do with. 😂. Also I’m a bit jelly of your cupboard space… ❤❤❤

Yes!! They work so well! I can finally keep fresh herbs in the fridge for 3 weeks, they normally go bad after 1 week. I love the herb savers😃

I don’t keep manuals either… I figure you can find that info on line. The thing I keep that I never use… my kitchen aid mixer. 🤦🏻‍♀️ my 16yr son has started to use it for making homemade marshmallows- so I guess it was worth keeping.
