Fantastic to see you back. I'm going to have yet another declutter after watching this. I find I want to declutter some home decor and China pieces I have but my decor style has changed so much. I can't bring myself to donate them so will put them in a box in a cupboard and see how I feel in 6 months. They are shabby chic vintage type of things and I favour simplicity and clean lines now. Dane looks fantastic! Big congratulations to him. I like your term health journey. I'm starting one too. Finally sick of not being able to wear clothes I like and being able to purchase them cheaper more easily because they aren't in my size. I think I heard you say you got married at the beginning of the year. If so a belated wedding blessing to you both. Looking forward to more videos and I hope you can build up your followers again as there aren't many NZ minimal lifestylers and many of us enjoy your content and being part of that community.

Awesome declutter Jana. Sorry it's taken me a while to comment or get back. I've been really unwell with covid and flu which I've given to my little one Ben. Just wasn't in the right hradspace to try and comment on anything like that. Wow Dane looks good He's done incredible losing the weight. Loved and chuckled at his 'bloke' Hoodie 😂. It would be great to see a cash envelope stuffing and budget for a NZ family in these cost of living times especially around Christmas season and setting up for the New Year. So many of us are trimming costs. 💕

I’m actually not doing cash envelopes anymore 🥲 well not for a while, this is actually one of the big updates I’m going to talk about in a video soon but we’re actually buying a new home soon and getting our current house ready to rent out. Part of the process with the bank for a home loan is having all of our expenses digitalised for a few months so they can track all of our expenses. So yeah my uploads have been few and far between and probably will be for a while.. between house hunting, appointments with the mortgage broker, getting paperwork in order etc We have to start preparing our current home for tenants soon too. On top of the house stuff we are also starting a business, well dane is, I’ll just be doing the bookwork for the business but it’s been quite time consuming too with accountant appointments, building a website, buying a new vehicle (ute) for the business and lots of equipment. Times are crazy for us atm but I’ll try to fit in filming when I can between the chaos. Budgeting videos might be better in the new year once things have settled and I’m back to my regular budget using cash envelopes 🥰🥰 I’ll explain all this in a video soon but thought I’d reply to let you know why cash envelope videos won’t be happening for a while ❤️

Man oh man you guys have so much going on! Sounds fantastic though. That's interesting about the cash envelopes as there is divided opinion about how they affect credit scores etc but wow they helped you clear debt. I'm of the opinion that you and Dane's budgeting, homemaking skills, lack of consumerism and sheer hard work and determination have given your family these opportunities. Congratulations and don't forget to have some down time too. Christmas blessings.

I upcycle furniture so I usually use them for wiping down my furniture pieces after sanding, or as clean up cloths while painting etc. Dane uses them for his messy projects out in the shed too.

Aww I know! I’m sorry! I’d really love to upload more but the past year has been sooo busy! we have started a new business for hubby, been trying to fix up our home ready to eventually rent out, house hunting for a home to buy, we have also had a holiday to Australia and also had family here staying at our house from overseas (it was a really tight space for a while I had to move all the kids into one bedroom 🙈), since oct Ive been spending a lot of time on my garden too trying to grow our produce to save buying veggies from the store cause the prices were just getting insane but with gardening comes a lot of time! And obv 3 kiddos just take up a lot of my time too.. I try to be present as much as posible with them so yeah it’s been really tricky to find time to film. If I’d known I would be posting so irregularly I would have just stayed off KZread completely but I didn’t foresee the crazy year we have had. I might just leave again if life stays like this tbh cause I’m struggling to keep up with all the things so dropping one of the lesser important things might help. Idk we’ll see 🥰
