Honestly, she's always kind of reminded me of the female protagonist from Stargirl in some ways. I just remember reading that book in middle school and wondering what it'd be like to be so unapologetically yourself. She(Micarah) is, and it's really wonderful.

@@imaspecialgirllalala I help my aunt in her thrift store. We do go through pockets and purses before cleaning, so yes I find things. We try to contact owners if we have their info, but for the most part, we drop the $ in our donation box that we use to support local charities 😁

I relate so much. I tend to start writing a story with premature planning of how the story will go. I just enjoyed developing characters 😂 I don't have an idea or conflict to explore in chapter 2.

I got an ad for vaping help.

One time I bought a jacket at the thrift store for seven dollars and that week I found exactly $7 in the pocket wrapped inside of a receipt from four years before that. The jacket paid for itself.

The funeral dress story pulled my heart strings! But, kind of a funny story.... There were a couple years in our family where I would attend several funerals a year, and as such I ONLY had black, dark color, or "funeral" dresses. When I graduated high school my mom asked my why I was buying a new dress, since I already had to many. I politely reminded her that every dress I owned was worn to a funeral and I didn't want to graduate in a dress that reminded me of death. She poured me a shot, bought my dress, and then we spent the rest of the day watching Lord of the Rings (extended edition).

When someone is talented and creative and quirky and dorky and gorgeous and you're just standing there, in awe.

Hearing an adult call Victoria Secret "naughty-ish" is so surreal, God forbid Micarah ever go into a Spencer's.

I held on to the dress I wore to my parents funeral for almost 10 years. I couldn't bring myself to give it away because their passing was sudden and tragic so I felt like it was full of bad energy. I hated keeping it because everytime I looked at it it felt like a twist of the knife especially since my mom had bought me that dress not knowing I'd wear it to their funeral. That dress had a tremendous amount of power over my life and mood day to day depending on if I caught a glance of it. Flash forward to 3 Years ago when our home was half destroyed by a tornado. In that rubble was that dress. In my anger that THAT was what got out unscathed I picked it up ready to throw it because it felt so insulting in that moment. As I picked it up it revealed not just my daughters stuffed comfort pig, but also my sons little blanket which were all I cared about losing because my kids were so devastated by that and I felt like it was my fault not grabbing them when I grabbed my kids. My perception of the dress changed. Its still in my closet, but in that second tragedy I was able to heal from another. Your story wasn't too heavy. It made me feel less alone.

I can't express to you the amount of pure satisfaction I felt when I saw the finished product. It was like being transported into a utopia where kittens are somehow breathable. 10/10 Would watch again.

I have a suggestion for anyone who wants to declutter. If you get overwhelmed easily, try taking all of your pants out and decluttering them, then shirts, then dresses etc. (in whatever order) Also, having a maybe pile often helps for all the stuff you need to think about while going through the rest of that category. I have found these two things to help making decluttering so much less stressful. 🖤

You see, being a hoarder is much more complicated when you re creative. Because of "i can use this later." 😂

Pro tip for not wanting to throw away tshirts with sentimental value: I cut out little logos or the print on tshirts that I dont wear (but want to keep) I few of the bigger prints I've pinned on my wall like posters, I also made a lil blanket out of a bunch of em, the smaller ones I sewed onto either my backpack or onto a pillowcase.

@@cantoken And it's so annoying. Because all the older kids run off on social media and stuff, while I have to sit with the adults. I'm not even that young. Sometimes I really don't want to go. I just sit there looking like an idiot while they're outside taking pictures and whatever. I'm not even into stuff like that, but it would be cool to be involved.

I'm on my third watch of this, because this channel is so great for taking quotes from for the quote-dropping forum game I play. I probably watched the Little Women video that got me into this channel at least thrice as well, ha ha.
