External Vagal Nerve Stimulation, the relief you've been looking for?
The External Vagal Nerve Stimulator relieves chronic pain and arthritis, but it also aids in digestive issues, epilepsy and depression. Our patients have found positive results with the Vagal Nerve Stimulator, could this treatment be right for you?
At BioMechanic Physical Therapy our techniques are founded in your body’s mechanics; from when your foot hits the ground then up through your knees, hips and beyond. A common example is when over pronation in the foot causes knee pain. Maybe you just need new shoes - not a knee operation. We can help sort that out.
Our Doctors of Physical Therapy ensure that the physics of you are optimized to get to the reason of why you; 1. developed a problem that came on slowly or 2. what mechanics may have been thrown off by your injury or surgery. We use precise tools to measure, our analytical minds to solve the problem , and our hands to restore you to perfect!
We know it is important to address your symptoms now, but more importantly - to also correct the source of your pain. This makes you feel better now - and it prevents your problem from coming back.

That’s great to hear a testimonial from someone who’s actually had it and had results. The world thanks you for your report! 👍
I have dysautonomia which causes both tachycardia and gastroparesis. Is there a way to lower my hr without also slowing my digestion down more than it already is?? Im hoping a vns can help some of the dysauto issues but worried it could make some worse?

Hello @isashisha unfortunately I’m not going to be able to answer your question. I am not an expert in the vagal nerve, except as it applies to physical therapy. If I were you I would try to call the company, dolphin, Neurostim at 1800-567-7246 and maybe they can help you.
I don’t see any link for purchase of this product?

Hello, in what way is this honestly different from a Tens unit?
@Biomechanicphysicaltherapy
10 ай бұрын
The frequency, pulse duration & separation and the custom attachments. The vagal nerve is stimulated at 20 to 30 Hz with the specific stimulator, there is also research on all of the parameters; pulse duration, amplitude, pulse width, & frequency. So you would want to be able to program your tens unit with the researched parameters that are the optimum to stimulate the vagus nerve. Tens units generally run above 80. The Dolphin Neurostim unit also has a specific ear clip. Some Stim units are more adjustable than others so it might be possible to just take your cheap tens unit and get it to run like that. Which by the way is a great idea!

Get a tens unit with digital display and set to N mode, 20Hz and 200uS, turn the power dial up till you feel it, shouldn't be sore or uncomfortable. 👍🏻

It has a 9 V battery but it rarely needs changing even though I used commercially. It will not be a money pit.
Is this a tens unit?

@@Biomechanicphysicaltherapy okay I did go to the link and read more. I don’t understand how this doesn’t essentially operate like a tens unit, but this isn’t my wheelhouse. I’m going to send a link for your video to my friend who runs a sports rehabilitation/ physical therapy center. I know he’s interested in looking into this. My purpose in trying to understand, is that I have a disabling diffuse esophageal spasms due to a neuromuscular motility disorder, originating from a dysregulated vagus nerve, as a result of my sympathetic NS being very overactive as I was growing up. I’ve other GI issues as well. I used to do research. Biology- genetics. Been trying to figure out how to get better. It has crippled my life. Anyhow, I didn’t want you to think my intention was to be argumentative. I’m really trying to understand how it works, to determine if it might actually help me. Thanks!
