Wow that looks great! and almost leaves enough room to use the truck bed as a bedroom to use while going on a states trip to avoid paying for a hotel like a normal person!!

Haha there's definitely alot of room in the back for a mattress. So, this install saves you money on hotel trips and gives a roof over your head (or face) while sleeping 😂.

Note, tip..if you don't used it and always keep it folded all the time. The 3 foam stopped will create a small indent in a long run due to the weight of the tonneau cover stack against it and will create a small standing water there. Hope that helps

Great video! 👍 Quick tip to anyone that follows... loosely attach the brackets to the rail inserts with the two screws before sliding the rail inserts into the rail. It will save you a lot of hassle as the screws are fairly short and harder to get started otherwise.

I installed the Xtang 2.0 on my new Tacoma about 6 weeks ago, love it for the gas mileage and protection of whatever is in the back .

I agree! It's so convenient to have adds a level of protection! How did you find the installation process? It was probably the fasted mod I've done in my Tacoma.

@@themandiyrin I found it a very easy to install mod and I also installed the Bed Lights and switch to my SR5 as it came pre-wired but I ordered the products and installed them all in less than an hour by myself.

@@themandiyrin only 1 to 2 mpg difference and only at highway speeds between 55mph - 70mph. anything faster and it starts going downhill, anything slower and the tonneau is irrelevant.

The link you provided for the cover says it fits a 2005-2016 will this still work for the new model tacomas like 2019 and up

What are the dimensions of the foam pads for the header bar? I bought one second hand and the foam pads were not in the box.

Hi I'm not sure the exact dimensions but I'll check. Since it's foam it should be able to compress to work!

What's the distance from the front of the bed to the first clamp in the bed rail?

Hi Brandon, I will measure later today as I'm not with my truck. But essentially it's about an inch subtracted (measure from the end of the rubber weather stripping) from the end of the tunneau cover to the clamp location.

What about the cleats? Are they not usable after the cover install?

Hi no problem glad to help! Luckily I have not had leaks. I really tightened the clamps thou. Have someone push the cover down when tightening so you can compress it more.

@@themandiyrin i have another brand trifold cover, but when I tighten it esp3cially at the tailgatr, it pulls the rail up, I'm nervous it could get damaged.

Luckily there’s no leak at all on mine. I make sure I have it locked down at all times on all corners so it’s been good so far.

Can I fold the bed cover in full 3 folds?

Hi no unfortunately only twice. If you want to do the full 3 consider something like the backflip brand

Hi Mouchy, mine came with the kit. You can try to ask where you bought it from for it if it didn't came with one. You can try something like this also and just cut pieces to fit. amzn.to/3o8im3t

The foam seal inserts for the header bar aren't listed on Extang's website, but you can call the number on their website. The part number for the 3rd Gen Tacoma is 3200-1190. When I called they said they'd give me free shipping. Hope that helps!

Odd that the 5 foot cost more. I'm still getting one
