Expressive E Osmose - Syncing Internal Arpeggiator to Ableton Midi Clock

Very quick video (no talking) of what works for me to sync the Osmose internal engine arpeggiator tempo to Ableton external Midi clock tempo. Note if you turn on the Ableton Track output port to play you can get a Midi loop that will turn off the Haken Local Mode and you can no longer play the Osmose keyboard (but it should play from the Ableton playback on port2).

There is no arpeggiator on the EaganMatrix module. It is Osmose specific. You play the module over MPE on channels 2-9 or standard Midi on channel 1, so Midi clock has no meaning. The module will play notes at whatever speed Ableton sends them. The one thing you can do in the matrix is sync EaganMatrix Shape Generators to an external Midi Clock. You can find that in the manual and there's a video somewhere here that addresses that.

@@eaganmatrixprogramming So this is from modulargrid "This versatile module can act as a sound source, a sound processor, a CV source (via connection to an external Control Voltage Converter), a Midi source, or a customizable combination of all these capabilities" is it possible to use it as a cv to midi converter? i don't really mind but since its great as is but if in modular it can be a clock or cv to midi device that would be a bonus!

@@kevindewinter8235 It can function as a CV to Midi converter. If you play over CV, the monophonic output will be by default sent out Midi TRS and USB ports cycling MPE channels. Set MPE priority to low to output on channel 2 only. Take your module out of MPE mode in I/O settings by setting Z=CC11 for example and then your Midi monophonic output will be on channel 1. I would set dynamic velocity as well there or output will use a constant velocity=127.
