The scared and cold reload is actually an extremely good idea, never saw that in a video game before

Always love it when the character doing the reload animation displays that he is flawed, he ain't speedy gonzales and is still a human. You don't need to get a lot requiring that effect, some issues loading in the mag and stuff like that can be well enough to immerse yourself into the mind of the character more.

This is the ultimate man thing, and yes, you can express emotions through any action. I think of the lobby scene in The Matrix where they nonchalantly throw away the empty guns and pull out the fresh ones, and that scene at the end of Terminator 2 where Sarah Connor limps forward while pumping the shotgun again and again.

The fact he used the FNAF 2 ambience holds a special place in my heart

The emotional reloading could be cool in a game like L4D was, like, if you're around a Tank/Smasher, your character will refuse to reload with bullets inside the mag, and the weapon precision will be lowered by fear. Geting close to them reduce the damage cuz the fear reduces actually makes you weaker using melee weapons (work also when trying to push enemies with weapons, you push them so much closer) After being catched by a smoker (but it got killed) you character should walk slow cuz it's trying to get some air, and you walk slower based on the time you were suffocated. It would make an interesting atmosphere for some special mode like "Extreme Special Zombies" or something like it. For modders, this idea is reachable, and i would love something like this in custom maps. Some maps also should have some slowed actions, like attacking with melee weapons if the enemy is under water, the water should resist and the attack should be slower. Also, some custom Hunters/Boomers. Hunter is pretty much jockei but he cant walk. I feel like if hunter actually hitted slower and dealed more damage it would be fun. Also he could, after putting you on the ground, call the horde to finish you off. The boomer from the other side, after he explodes, His legs could walk for a few moments dropping the green liquid attracting the horde (with a second signal, that would mean the enemies are close, but not in his vomit). I think it would be fun add-ons to the game. I also know it's hard af to do, so i'm not saying it is a must do, but it would be cool as heck (and the game would be even more terrifying for new players)

That's because they are, but the tactical ones serve much more purpose, even for a common civilian rifle.

some things i want in a singleplayer campaign of an fps game 1. Reloading levels: you gain xp for killing enemies and reloading and the more xp you get you level up and you get faster and more professional reloads 2. different reloading animations for different scenarios: regular reload - after a gunfight or in a shooting range, or just if you're shooting for no reason, its calm but not too slow, regular speed. frantic reload - during a gunfight, animation fumbles a bit and hands shake but less prominent for high level reloads. slightly faster than regular reload sneaky reload - during a situation where the character is being (or required to be) stealthy. slightly slower than regular reload i don't code (nor do i know how) but i think that it'd add a level of immersion to the game

Panic level: determines various different actions. taking armor damage will slightly increase this. taking mild damage will significantly increase this. major wounds will practically maximize this. Mastery level: determines how capable you are at doing a thing. has different numbers for different bits.
