I totally agree with you..Helon had the most creative song; his use of language and melody were on point. Added to that his rendition and delivery was on point. Same can be said of Kurt Allen. Karene had a simple song but performed it well..but a weak song performed well is still a weak song..my results were: 1. Machel (cant rule out the human element) 2. Helon 3. Kurt 4. Chuky & Mical Teja 6. Karene Asche.

I congratulate Machel🎉. I really took to Mr Brian London's song. I felt that his rendition resembled the description of the world and not just Trinidad. That kaiso was international because the entire world is going through hell. His kaiso was the realest , most truthful and lyrically on point of them all.

Many good songs- good lyrics and some with good music. This is also a performance competition just like many other competion. For instance I love DNA, but add it the voice carriage, presentation, impact on stage etc. Sorry but I can see why Machel won. There are songs I knew better so was partial towards but...

The Judges judge him because of who he is, so all the good calypso they was of no interest to them, how unfair we talk of so much about crime and look where they put Kurt Allen, some of them have no Character, so Congrats to the winner and all of them.

Took the Nation, back into time, also; his Calypso, answered all his critiques, including me, who said his, get something and wave, jump up thing, changed Calypso from commentary, to just, get something and wave. So he had to Win, also! his choreography, was back, present and future.

All they have to do is bring the vibes and embrace the sprit from they roots so don't blame the king 👑 he just defending it and making sure the sprit don't die which will encourage the young people to get involved he is a living example of the vibes

From sparrow to Marshall and see the trajectory of calypso and where it's going. After all these years that nonsense is winning calypso crown in Trinidad. It's a shame. He got the crown because of his name.

There are different scores for different aspects of the performance... but I'm not convinced the judges apply the scoring system consistently as intended.
