I said to everyone who was beside me, my exact words were (this cute little boy will make it big when he grows up; he's so good, I love him)! I'm now 69 years old and I'm still watching (Too Young To SOCA) in 2024 with this cute little boy that I fell in love with from the moment he started singing! May God bless Machel and also his parents who've encouraged and stood like a rock beside him! A lesson to parents: when you know that your children have certain talents, you have to do all that you can to help them excel👍

Machel montanos performance was unmatched if I was a tourist visiting for carnival on seeing his performance I would count myself blessed to have been given a small history course on the origin and culture of calypso , He paid great tribute to the art form by bringing on stage two greats such as trinidad rio and cro cro when he paid honor to ras shorty I that sealed his win for me, every where else in the world singers are remembered but over here they hardly remember or give honor to those who have come and gone, others performance targets home alone but machel is wise he targets an international audiance, He continues to put soca on the world map, his performance is always out of the box and that is what small minded people do not get, He real big up the art form plus he made a very strong and undisputable point to those who claim the soca is not connected to calypso it was birthed out of calypso
