Sorry about the weird sound guys. My long-time editing program finally crashed and this was my first effort learning an entirely new program. I'm super low tech with computers and it's been a painful relearning process 😂. Wanted to sincerely thank my son Andrew 😍 for his help and other's for the suggestions on the channel. Thought it was really smooth Rich in fact I was seriously going to ask you what you're using because it's super smooth and the sound wasn't bad. I wear hearing Aids so to me it sounded very good actually. So tell me what you're using, I use HitFilm Express and sometimes Resolve 17 on my MacBook Pro, does the job but so much to learn I just want something that's easy to master and use.👍👍👍

@@droningharry thanks so much Harry. I downloaded the older version of Windows Movie Maker from Naturalvita.net. She has a bunch of how to vids on her KZread channel that were very helpful. It's important to download the program from a trusted site 👍. Really appreciate the feedback about the upload 🤗. The program is pretty simple and intuitive. Several other bash Brothers have used it for years. 🍻😎💪👊👊

I love this motor and esc combo. I have the same with an 18t pinion in my Kraton EXB. It is a BEAST. Power for days.

Wow! The fire team really rips with that new power plant! 👀 Scary fast 👀 even with the extra weight! Now I know why you’re always trying to catch every send… a lot of creativity in the air on the last couple sessions - and you got it all! - lots of quad-flips - but I’m really liking the forward flips, with the quick backflips at the end! Those are rad!!! 🙀 and you even over came the intermediate moment of inertia (squirrelly truck in the air) on the one send! It was actually quite painful realizing I couldn't export the first edit and then having to learn a completely different program and start all over 😝. The 1650 Max6 combo feels about perfect in her 👍. I shed 200+ grams removing the handbrake servo assembly and body panels so I didn't notice the weight difference with the heavier electronics. Definitely noticed a power difference 😍. Such a Killer couple sessions we've had!!!! So many crazy multi flips, FF's, and variations 👀. The downramp is so much better than pounding flat ground 🤗. Can't wait for another get together. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

The adjustable servo saver has improved responsiveness and makes for butter smooth steering between the post bearings and M2C Delrin pillow ball cups 👌. So far the bulkhead has been flawless on the Typhon too. No need for the handbrake with what I'm doing, but it does work as designed for drifts and sudden direction changes. Really appreciate the kind words 😘😘😎💪👊👊

Man I know the fireteam is a "drivers car" but man oh man don't you fly it nice haha. That set up is insane and it looks like so much fun. I'm not exactly savvy with computers myself haha I've come along ways but a ways to go too. Love the look of the body slimmed down a bit . Some superb footage of your friend's air time some seriously butter landings. Watching some of the angles and air reminded me of the old BMX track you used to jump at. My lightened Outcast did absolutely stellar out there too 👀. Her motor has locked up beforehand at the skatepark, but I had a spare to swap in fortunately. My buddies were all going huge out there 😱🚀🚀. Think we hit more quads and variations than ever 😂. So nice to have a downramp when going huge. Learning new software has been an adventure Bro. So grateful my tech savvy son was willing to help me out a bit 😍. I can tune rigs all day, but computers are a bit challenging 🤣🍻😎💪👊👊

Perfect combo it looks

Plain Awesome Brother Rich!💪💪The 4985 1650kv combo looked to have massive torque!😱 Awesome test with it also all the beautiful Basherqueen and M2C parts!😍 Mine now has the 1480kv 4092 and brand new ABEC 5 bearings😁Sucks on the shafts popping. The negative camber on this rig is a bit extreme out of the box but helps in certain conditions for sure! I added 1/2 inch silicone bump stops to all my shocks to stop the popping shafts front and rear. Absolute killer bash with the guys they were killin it! Wicked backies galore!🤣Loved seeing the ole Truggified out too!😍Awesome vid man and glad you got your vid editing sorted! Bash on bro!😎👊🚀🚀

Thanks so much Brother Eric 😜. I'm super stoked with the 4985 👍. Wicked torque and great temps so far. Feels about perfect in the FT. My buddies had been running it for awhile and I saw the power first hand 👀. Absolutely need a tower to tower brace if running one in a K6s. Otherwise chassis flex will trash the motor mount cuz it rests so close to the chassis. Appreciate the suggestion with the bump stops 😉. I'll throw some on if I lose another front shaft. We had an Epic good time doing those huge transfers 😱🤣🤣. White Claw took a little damage from a butt dart 😂, but Shelby is sporting an M2C chassis now like the rest of the gang 💪. Props to Basherqueen and M2C for the world class upgrades!!!! 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

@@AldoLoyal it's a stock mount, however the shiny motor plate came off my Outcast 6s Limited Edition. I recently seized the BLX185 motor and ended up using that plate paired with the stock mount (same spec). The Limited Edition had all deanodized raw silver look instead of red. 🤗

I’m with you l love the look of the fireteam. I waited till they went down to $4 got a black one love it. But on my last outing l broke a drive cup front and may have stripped the rear diff. Only like my probably 6th or 7th pack. I have to tear it down. Epic machine l love it !

Absolutely love my 1650kv/max6 combo in my Mojave. I guess having that open body gives your motor some decent air flow. If I don't run my fans my motor will eventually start to overheat. And I'm only running a 19t pinion. I'm guessing it's the lack of airflow due to my inner fenders and a mesh chassis cover 🤷‍♂️. Nothing two 40mm fans couldn't fix 🤣

Yeah I'm loving the Max6 combo in her 😍. My temps never exceeded 130's motor and maybe 110F ESC. The air flow is straight through with this setup. I ran mesh covers years ago, but they drove temps up like a hot air balloon and I kept going thermal. Had much better luck with a simple fiber window screen home job and Velcro. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Curious, have you put that Max6/1650 system in the 6s Exb? Got the same system coming and was wondering the right pinion to run🤷🏻‍♂️ Love that 1/7 scale though!

I have another 1650 on standby I'll likely try in either my 1/7 Orange Darling XL or my K6s EXB. My bash buddies use it in their Kraton and it works great 😍. I'd recommend trying a 22T pinion for great power and top speed. 🍻😎💪👊👊

The Fireteam is another animal of it’s own! Especially with that 1650 motor. Were those full throttle sends? Dude you have to figure out how to mount a camera to capture the footage of your remote controller so we can simultaneously view the controls while you bash.

Thanks Brother 🤗. Those were near full throttle sends. We had traction issues in the dry dirt and had to modulate the throttle up to the ramp. The Fireteam couldn't get full distance into the wind, but she did well all things considered 🍻😎💪👊👊

What are normal temps for the stock power system in the fireteam? Mine seems to get pretty warm and I still have the stock pinion on. (12t) I think. Does the max6 combo run cooler with some of the panels off?

Normal temps would be difficult to answer due to so many variables. Below 150-160F motor is still safe. The stock motor with stock pinion winds up to higher RPMs pretty quickly which also raises temps. The Max6 4985 1650kv combo is definitely more efficient than stock and removing panels helps air flow big-time 🍻😎💪👊👊

Rich, i own a Fireteam as well. Just great machine. I just bought a Hobbywing EZRUN Max6 with a separate motor, the Rocket 4092 1650KV. How high can my pinion tooth be on this combo?

Love the Fireteam 😍. I would run between a 20-22T pinion. Really depends on your wheels, ambient temps, and driving habits. Motors are safe to around 160F. Much hotter can weaken the bond of the magnets and shorten the useful life of the motor. I typically gear to about 150F when possible. This ensures I achieve maximum output without exceeding efficiency limitations. Often a motors performance will start dropping once it exceeds 160-170F. I've noticed my power wane several times once the upper threshold is reached, especially during hot summer days 😂

I have the castle 1650kv w/ MMX on my kraton and its a beast

Hey rich, compared to the other motors like the hobbystar 4585 or the leopard motors how would you rate the power and torque of the 4985 compared to those motors or maybr even to some of the larger motors on 6s

I absolutely LOVE the 4985 1650 😍. It's about as big as I'd even consider putting in the 6s rigs. The gears can take it obviously, but you have to be mindful with the torque this motor creates. It's smoother and more efficient than the 4092 1730 Hobbystar motors I've ran for years. I bought a second one for my Orange Darling 😍

@@richduperbash2966 yeah, i run it in my cen reeper, gears handle it great but i do need to find some 3mm pins made with hardenes steel and punch out my sheered pins, only weak point on the 8mm shafts

Its getting 53mph in a grass soccer field, even with the 475mm wheelbase it will still wheelie with ease

I got my talion exb out for a nice day bash Tuesday. I left work at lunch after asking for time off from my boss, and if I couldn't use time to let me know how many points I'd have, cuz I was goin to play. He saw things my way😎 I kept having issues with my front drive shaft popping out after big sends at the BMX park I went too, I remember Eric mentioned he had that issues and solved it with fuel tubing as bump stops, I may need to try this. Think it would help?

Hey Josh 🤗. I usually have more driveshaft popping issues with my flexible RPM arms. The Talion V3 and beyond already has small bump stops on the shafts under the shock boots. It would likely help to add slightly longer ones. 😎💪👊👊

I can't seem to keep the damn pinion on the fireteam no matter what I do, blue lock tite not working......if my center diff is at all bent could it keep kicking the pinion off, I had a rock get jammed underneath it somehow scratches all the way around it, must have just spit it out cause it was rolling around when I took the body off, anyway.....if you have any suggestions please feel free to spit some knowledge my way, 🙏💯

Hey Jens. Not sure if you degrease your pinion, motor shaft, and pinion grub screw, but it's absolutely essential to get off all manufacturing oils prior to using threadlock. I use 70% isopropyl alcohol, paper towels, and Q-tips to clean the pinion grub threads. Some guys use brake cleaner or carb cleaner. Essentially, threadlock does not work properly if there's any trace of oil or grease contaminants. I use Loctite 242 or Permatex Orange threadlocker. 🍻

I generally run 5200mah Zeee 50c single 6s packs with around 15-20min run time depending on outside temps and throttle use. 80-100c discharge rate is preferred, but I buy packs on sale with at least a 50c rate.

I haven't ran the Castle setup, but can't see how you could make more useful power than the HW provides. It's butter smooth with gobs of torque. Easy on the fly programming too. The Castle on/off switch is a major deterrent for me. Should've been updated years ago. 🍻

I have one but the only decent ys i have to kind of compare with is my leopard 4082 2000kv

You still like this set up in the truck? Just got one and really want to upgrade It the rite way

Oh my God I got the same car but not that fast and maybe you can help me please I don't know this the servo that's in the front steering collar when I turn left and right I believe it's called a servo when I turn left or right I hear a clicking sound coming from that little motor in the front I believe it's called the terrible I'm not sure all I could jerking noise like it's stressing it out what should I do put a brand new one in but the truck is not me then 3 weeks old and for some reason my lock brake I goes to press it and it's just the whole car off and reboots whenever I press it what could that be please can someone help me I think I should just buy a new server for the front and the rear maybe that'll solve my problem

@@kukislas18 no. 6s is plenty with this system. It's lighter and more nimble. These gears aren't designed for 8s power.
