Explosions In The Sky - What's In My Bag? 3.4.24. You've already aired this jazz infused asian dude...safe to say, kids, I aint that far gone. ask a man a question, and he can feed the fish for a week. Assume he knows what your innate silencio is imparted with, and he will look out the door at the mud and the wet grass for many hours. come on, kids, get to the point... what's in my bag? receipts, bills and damp resumes.... continuing with the theme of you're hip but psychotic.... what now, marsha? good luck!! whoever you are... kzread.info/dash/bejne/fKOirdKGqZjPdLA.htmlfeature=shared i wish i'd been there leading the charge. stop playing this game, kids. yer crap at it. you only end up embarrassed then blaming the dude you tried to 2nd guess, anyhow...

I'm Brazilian, and the film "Black Orpheus", or "Orfeu Negro" (original title), is a Brazilian film. The script was adapted from the play written by one of the greatest poets in the Portuguese language, also Brazilian, Vinicius de Moraes. This film revealed Antônio Carlos Jobim, "Tom Jobim", who was still unknown and composed the soundtrack. It's really cool to see him mention this film, which is forgotten even in my country - perhaps the greatest Brazilian film of all time.

Glad to see Munaf remembering Orfeu Negro, a movie that it's not even that mentioned in my country that often, which is sad since it's arguably the best movie made here. I love his picks, The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place literally changed my whole perspective of music growing up.

When I was a kid growin in the eighties, 'independent' or 'underground' bands would mention other fellow bands as influences and put the word out for other contemporary bands sharing the same milieau. Now bands think 'humm...let me chose the most alien thing possible from my own sound, my own era and my own environment! Lets 'shock' people by mention obscure bands/muisc from the 50s, 60s and (at best) 70s, and add some possible 'guilty pleasures' but present them with a very blasé attitude pretending we really like them. Never, but NEVER mention a band you are supposed to like or counts as a very obvious influence on your music...express nothing buts disdain and contempt for those 'indie, alternative, punk, post-punk, post-rock and everything near my neighborhood...yeah!...that will teach them!...I'm too cool for school!!'
