Some time after the cab was totaly engulfed in flames, there appeared to be somthing coming out from the cab in flames that looked the ragdolling body of the driver, he was probably still trying to get out and was in excruciating pain from the flames.

Sadly, I just read an article about this. The would-be rescuer, Mr Bujold, could not get the driver out, the driver was pinned by the steering wheel. If a fire had not occurred, Mr Prince, the pinned driver, would have been gotten out via hydraulic jaws. It still haunts Mr Bujold. 😟

Impressionnant. Quelle horreur, tout de même, pour ce malheureux chauffeur qui a périt brûlé vif dans la cabine de son camion. Une pensée à sa famille et une prière pour lui. Quel sentiment d'impuissance pour la personne qui a tenté de le sauver.

Oui il était toujours conscient quand le camion a commencer a bruler ,celui qui tente de le sauver est un de mes anciens collègues et c'est ce qu'il m'a dit. il a beaucoup souffert mentalement suite a cette événement. RIP

J'ai de la peine pour le monsieur rester coincé et sa famille qu'il repose en paix

A couple decades back I was driving along I5 Freeway in central California and I saw a bad accident between a semi and a sedan. I pulled over and grabbed my fire extinguisher and ran to the scene. The truck driver and his female passenger were fine, but the other vehicle in the accident was a car and it was on its roof and there was a guy inside, maybe around 30'ish, who looked to be unconscious. The trucker was trying to open the door and then I smelled fuel and saw there was gasoline that had leaked under our feet and all over around the car. We were working on the door for less than a minute when out of nowhere the fuel caught fire and me and the trucker were enveloped in a ball of intense heat. At that moment, you don't think. There is zero thought about the guy in the car or the guy next to you, or anything else. Your brain instantly reverts back to primordial lizard mode and gets the holy sh*t away from there. After a couple of seconds (at least, I think it was a couple of seconds - time gets dilated as well), my higher functions kicked in and I remembered I had my fire extinguisher right next to us. I grabbed it and started spraying, trying to subdue the flames around the driver's area while the trucker again attempted to pull open the driver's side door. Tragically, the door was jammed solid and when the extinguisher ran low, the resurgent flames chased both of us back. My only comfort is that I'm pretty sure the guy didn't feel anything, as he appeared to be unconscious before the fire and we didn't hear any screaming from him after the fire got into the passenger area. Even with that solace, I still think about that day often and sometimes have nightmares about it. Burning to death has to be the most horrible way to go. Since that day, I'm probably the most cautious driver anyone has ever met.

Omg, just thinking about seems horrible. I honestly can’t imagine seeing someone get burned to death. Im sorry you had to go through that. Also, wasn’t there other people there too or were you 2 the only people there that was actually trying to help? R.I.P that one dude

@@madebybobo3680 State Patrol showed up about 10mins. into the fire. As for other good samaritans - a couple of people stopped to see if they could help, but by that time, it was tool late. Most people just kept driving by.

Dude in the safety vest should be commended, trying to get to each side to get the driver out....while he sees the fire headed to the tanker truck..you can see his frustration when he can’t get the driver....he slams his pry bar into the tire of his truck

My stepdad was a truck driver and something similar happened to him. He and some other people tried to save a trapped driver but they could do nothing. I remember well because it was the first and maybe even the only time I saw him cry.

I can't imagine how HOT that fire was, took a lot of bravery to get as close as he did with the fuse lit like that.

I saw a video of a whole bridge full of vehicles stuck behind a fuel tanker that was in an accident. The whole bridge ignited, engulfing everyone stuck in traffic. It was horrific. If you see a tanker caught in a wreck.. Drive away or run.

Were people still sitting in their vehicles behind a burning tanker truck? Seriously? They have to be some of the dumbest people on the planet. If you can't back your vehicle up then like you said, get out if your vehicle and run like hell! (Away from the fire, not towards it) I felt I had to add that for the people that sit in their vehicles behind a burning tanker truck.

@@mikekeilor3204 It may not be so simple, as my father was involved in a massive accident on the M1 in the UK many years ago. A vehicle slowed in the fog and another hit IT and a pile up ensued. Dad luckily spotted the tail end vehicle quick enough that he missed it and drove up the embankment as did some others. He tells of how people were trapped and others trying to help or run away were crushed when trucks hit the pile up at full speed and piled cars on top of each other. A tanker was involved and the whole lot burnt out with very few survivers, nothing much the people on the bank could do but watch them burn while listening to the screams of the trapped....

@@franksmith6683 I get your point about being hit by vehicles during a pile up, but this wasn't a pile up. Everyone was just stopped and looking at the burning tanker truck. Of course there's still a risk of getting hit by a vehicle if you do get out of your car but you have to assess your situation. If you're not hearing vehicles crashing into the cars behind for a good period of time I'd definitely take a risk of leaving my car and running away from the burning tanker truck. I realize that there's a possibility my car could get destroyed if and when the tanker truck explodes but at least I would still be alive and away from the danger. Could you imagine surviving the blast and having third degree burns on your face and hands or possibly your entire body. That would be so horribly painful and the recovery process is way beyond excruciating and it's also a very long process that continues for a very long time.

Makes you think... it's worth getting a fire extinguisher for your vehicle and grabbing it immediately any time you need to go to someone's aid in a serious accident, just in case. Saw a video from a relatively minor car crash recently in which someone did this and it bought some more time to get a woman and her small child out of a car before fire took hold.

Ahhh... the old lack of fire extinguishers, strikes again. Small, little fire becomes a conflagration. Excellent training.

La cause peut être plein de choses, somnolence, alcool, téléphone, distance de sécurité et/ou vitesse non respectée, défaillance des freins... bref arrêtons de spéculer sans avoir d'informations concrètes ça ne sert à rien :)

Je suis d'accord avec Kais baby. Même moi étant conducteur de bus, le jour où un bus ou camion prend feu. Oublie tout de suite l'idée d'éteindre le feu. Seule chose à faire, s'écarter de la zone. Car c'est trop dangereux de tenter quoi que soit.

pour info les extincteur automatique existe depuis belles lurettes , ils sont presents dans les chaufferies collective , c est une apmpoule ou un film qui casse au contact de la chaleur....donc le brevet.....

Le bâtiment aussi, la chaleur a été si forte que des fenêtres ont éclaté. Les explosions aussi on fait éclater des fenêtres.

ça m'étonnerait que ce sois la voiture, ils ne respectaient pas les distances de sécurité, un camion est rentré dans l'autre qui est rentré dans l'autre, vu les dispositions ils ont doublés, je sais pas comment ça ce passe au Quebec mais en France c'est interdit (ou juste sur 2 voies sur 3 peut être), si au Quebec c'est la même il y à beaucoup de tord aux camionneurs ici. La voiture n'est qu'autre chose.

Verifie tes sources ! Il n'y a que deux PL causé. L'incendi à peut-être brûler une ou deux voitures mais l'accident c'est seulement les deux poids lourds.

Vous parlez sans trop d'émotion d'un mec qui meurt plus ou moins sous vos yeux, je trouve ca effroyable ! ce monde n'a plus aucune compassion pour ses semblables Oo' Mais outre ce malheur, de nouveau, nous avons un bel exemple de la société industrielle et ces problèmes... combien de CO2 rejeté ?... la pollution est partout Et c'est quoi ces pompiers ? Le 2eme camion à du prendre feu bien après... c'est n'importe quoi...

Verifie tes sources ! La personne n'est pas morte. Peut d'infos dessus, juste qu'il n'est pas mort. Apres sont état peut être choquant mais il n'y est pas resté (mort).
