Today we are going for a little walk around this market in rural Cambodia!
Come along with us for a market tour.
This market is located in Pouk which is about a 20 minute drive away from Siem Reap city.
The market here is not a tourist market and is a bit of a hub for locals to get everything from pots and pans, to food, coffee, fresh produce & even a wet market.

Great looking market. Love that BBQ smell when I go. My wife dries out fish and pork in the sun then it only needs a light cook and tastes amazing. Franc - watch out if Sarah comes back from the hairdressers with a shaved head 555

Hahaha thank you! That’s what I thought she said because she was pointing at the cats saying Australia 😂 I dunno how she knew we were Aussie before we even spoke to her 🤣
What an interesting market. Attracting all the cats. They know you are Australian, because you are friendly, polite and ask lots of questions. A hot coffee in Sydney is now around $4.50 unless you go to the 7:11 where it's $2.00. Beware escaping fish! Recycling is such a thing throughout Asia. Repair and reuse rather than discard. I've had bags and shorts repaired at street side sewing machines - in the West, we are too quick to discard.
Prohok smell not good, but yummy. New friend ❤

@@francandsarah I would too but we are both super allergic to cats! I loved how the dog got a little push as well as if to say 'go on get out there and show yourself' 🤣🤣
If you could shop and travel like locals, you can save much more plus you are supporting them. Have fun there at the open and wet market. Peace ✌️
