Exploring the BUDA side of BUDAPEST 🇭🇺 - HUNGARIAN FOOD & Buda CASTLE

In this travel vlog we are exploring the Buda side of Budapest. We eat some delicious local Hungarian food and admire the Buda Castle and other beautiful sights in Buda's castle district.
We start our tour of Buda with some Hungarian Beef dishes and beers at Róma Ételbár. With enough fuel in our bellies we explore Buda's castle district by foot and admire sights like the Fisherman's Bastion and Buda Castle and take in all the awesome views.
After lots of walking we end our day at Budapest Garden where we relax next to the Danube river with some drinks.

Thanks for the suggestions! We will have to check out some of these spots. The Roman Coast looms beautiful. We are always open to suggestions from viewers- from Budapest and all around Hungary. We haven't even made it to Balaton yet! Any other beautiful spots we should check out?

Try Millenaris park (near Mammut) and Kopaszi-gat. Also a pretty good hiking trail starts on Gul baba utca (it's quite steep), and there's also a Turkish fortress nearby, newly renovated. Last but not least, try the chairlift going up to the top hill of Budapest (Normafa).

@@wherearewe-yt Well, I saw no taste of pasta dishes! One sure, which is delicious: cottage cheese pasta. Chicken soup. You may have made the pig. It contains 3 kinds of sausages, paprika, liver, bloody. Worth. And sweets: bird milk. If you are also interested in what foreign guests consider disgusting food, I can write it too! Good appetite for it!

Pörkölt (aka Goulash) should normally have also very tender beef, probably they havent cooked it enough in that case.

In the case of "vadas marha", the meat is cooked in the sauce. The main flavoring of the vegetable sauce is bay leaf and mustard. In the second dish, the pasta part is also a dish in its own right. It's called "túrós csusza " in restaurants. Elsewhere, it's just curd pasta. It is also customary to serve it with fish dishes. It is a subject of constant debate whether it is better with pieces of bacon (this is not the bacon with meat, but a meatless one called white), with cheese, or with sugar. Boiled potatoes are also a possible side dish for stews. The difference between goulash and stew is 100% as Anja said. Fisherman's Bastion. It seems to be from the 17th century, but that's when the previous defenses were demolished. Jenő of Savoy (Eugen von Savoyen) recaptured it from the Turks in 1686. The complex itself was built between 1895-1902... 5:15 Buso. The sokacs of Mohács are the haunting monster of winter. The buso march is one of the tourist attractions of Mohács. From the 1700s, the Buda Castle was more of a country residence, at most it played a representative role towards the Hungarian nobles. Because at that time, Hungary was already part of the Habsburg Empire. The consequence of this was the identity of the Austrian emperor and the Hungarian king, the personal union. The consequence of this personal union is the location of the ruling center in Vienna. At that time, the center of Hungarian public administration was already in Pozsony (now Bratislava Slovakia).

"The main flavoring of the vegetable sauce is bay leaf and mustard." And juniper berries (borókabogyó), a spice rarely used in Hungarian dishes. The two uses of it are vadas and borovicska, a gin-like spirit.

If we only eat and don't talk, then our video would just be a mukbang. I don't think anyone would like to see that. 😅 We have to describe the food as if the person watching has never had it. It makes it easier to imagine, for foreigners watching. Most of our subscribers are not Hungarian, so many people have never had these dishes. 😄 If people would just sit and watch us eating, without saying anything, it would make our lives much easier! 😂
