The markets are amazing to me here we go to a store and buy everything we are looking for and we don't have all of the interaction with the people who are selling the items that is very cool I did not know that fish got so big I've seen several people catch them but not nearly so big a very interesting and enjoyable video I wish you good luck health and happiness

Great video! The fish you were holding we call them Clown Knife Fish. They are not native to the US and we catch them in Florida. I never knew you could eat them as we always throw them back....lol

My Barang friend was in Laos recently and had a really tough time and said he would never go back. Maybe he is not as resilient as you need to be as a westerner in Laos LOL. Maybe Pink can start a business to help "Barang" who need a good guide in Laos. Any way, I see that the taste in food is very similar to khmer and Thai which is fantastic. Ch'naign na lol

I meant whether when you go to Laos you see the otherness of the country. For us Europeans, Cambodia and Laos are very similar. Do you visit each other's monuments, or do business trips predominate? Do your nations like each other?@@ThydaCookingTV

​@mirom5207 Cambodia was a huge country back then. Ruled much of Southeast Asia (Khmer Empire). Thailand, Laos and Southern Vietnam use to be Cambodia. That's why you see a lot of similarities because of the heavy Khmer influence on Thailand and Laos.

@@mirom5207 its good to catch up or get reacquainted with your fellow neighbors but the general city/country side vibe its all still very similar to Cambodia. this type of market here in Laos is very similar to the ones you find all over Cambodia. the differences, the cities in Cambodia like Phnom Penh/Siem Reap they have a much larger foreign expat population compared to Laos so you'll find way more western styled shopping markets and restaurants, or more diverse dining options
