So excited to see y'all in my home state of TN especially since I'm just a stone's throw from these trails :) Be sure to check out Big South Fork, Vonore, and all the great trails directly in the Smokies. It's so fun trail riding in TN! Glad Jafar had fun on his first trial, and that you mentioned bringing a hoof pick on trails. In TN it's super smart to bring one because of how rocky and sandy the terrain can become.

What a dream of a trail ride. I discovered that parachute cord is even better than twine. It comes in many different colors and widths . You can purchase it in hobby stores and hardware stores. If you need to make reins in a pinch, the thicker cord would work just fine.
Yeah, trailride is so good, and the view was realy fantastic. 👍💞 .

Brought back memories of my younger year’s riding trails which were my favorite to do. I did also enjoy in the arenas too! Only the freedom of trails was my true love riding my horse. Memories now Treasures🐎💖 🤗👍🏻🫶🙋🏻💁🏻

The reason a horse stops at the edge of an obstacle whether it is a creek or gate or small hill is that the rider looks at the near edge of the creek. Tell the rider to look 30 feet past the I near side of the obstacle. The horse feels this and moves in through. It is the doubt if the rider causing the horse to stop. Try this. It always works. 16 miles! My butt is hurting already ;) 😉 How long did it take to complete that ride? I remember riding a trail in east Tennessee some 50 years ago (don't remember details though) but it certainly wasn't 16 miles - - only about 5, I think. Also, there weren't any scenic views like in your video as I saw better views on the ride up to the trail horse stables.

Haha! It was really great. Because it was technical and we took it slow it took about 6 hours. But normally I can ride 15 miles in 1-2 hours and 30 miles in 3.5-4 hours. ❤️

That was an awesome trail ride. It was so beautiful. Do you have to worry about bears or other predators out there? How do you protect the horses in the stables? The older I get the more of a worrier I have become. Me who camped in a tent in a forest that was untouched & hundreds & hundreds of acres.

But I love doing ground work/ Great opportunity to connect until I can ride. Walkers are the breed I've fallen in love with. Your trail rides makes me miss Bubba soon much. We knew and trusted each other more than others I've had. I got him when he was 12. He had been abused. but I promised him never to hurt him. He learned to trust me so much. Hi, we have hilly terrain in my area as well. All of my horses are conditioned to handle this type of riding and I would never do anything to jeopardize their health. They are very fit, and we do a lot of hill/pole/and jump work as well.

As a rider myself, the way you spoke to the rider who struggled to get horse to cross first creek, brought me back to a trainer. Don't say to someone who is having a hard time "of course you don't listen ". Won't be watching anymore
@freespiritequestrian

Hi there, I’m sorry that you experienced a trigger response. I was talking to my husband and our relationship is very sarcastic sometimes. Moments before I specifically told him to shorten the reins before going into the creek for safety reasons and he didn’t, which was not good. He actually got himself into a dangerous situation, but I stopped filming to help him. I was also talking calmly and helping him through. You can’t understand everything from a single clip or know the relationship between people. I’m being realistic. When I post these videos I’m not just showing every perfect moment like it’s fantasy land, because that would be well, unrealistic. It’s my job to keep the riders safe on the trail and when someone does not listen, it can be very dangerous, and I take it seriously! This here is real life. Moreover, I’m a very encouraging person and trainer and If you watch anything else you will see that. This here is a situation where you truly did not have an understanding of the context. And as a rider myself, I prefer someone to be direct and correct me, it’s what makes you stronger in the long run. ❤️
Have you ever ridden in WA state? I do videos of my rides in WA and OR. TN looks amazing.
