Leo is worth his weight in gold.
Love the shirt!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Stunning
Bummer!! Was sooo hoping you'd get Leo. He was pretty amazing. I recently lost my clyde gelding and for some reason Leo made me tear up. Love him. Can't afford to buy another right now so have to live vicariously through you. Lol
I think u did the right thing. U thought with yr head not yr heart which is hard to do. When you could buy a few for that sort of money it makes sense. My heart was racing through it ha. All the horses you have are so special and I think it's fate that u didn't get him. U will find exactly what u want at some point, even if it takes a few more auctions. U can't find something at everyone u go too so why do people say u never buy 😂. U and Kyle know what yr after and u have a budget to keep too. I think u do the best when u go to auctions with the horses. I love this type of video as until the end u never know if yr going home with anything ha. Keep up the good work u do and I'm sure a new one will arrive soon enough ❤❤
Hello! Leo was so handsome and everything about him seemed pretty perfect. Common sense has to play a part in the decisions we have to make sometimes! I get excited like you about a horse. The horse you were meant to have will come along and he or she will be a great addition to your herd. 😊❤
You made the right choice. My Dad would say "the day you buy is the day you sell", i.e. if you pay too much, you will never get your money back and with horses there is a possibility that they will injure themselves permanently and unless they are insured their value will drop to zero. Hard fact but true....
the BIG gray is gust to adorable
I wish you got him but I understand that happened to me then……..we got him❤
Get s haflinger 😊
Did you see the guy taking a pee at the corner of the building when you were walking down the grassy hill? I love your videos and all you do. Great job!!
McDonald's may have gotten meat for their hamburgers from this ranch. Maybe even chicken nuggets. 😂 Ranches breed cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, llamas, alpacas, bison, & any other kind of meat for consumption. They then do everything that is needed to bring that animal to the point they can be sold for food. For instance, that means they move them around their property to graze all the grassy areas down. That's why they have to have so much pasture land. So, let's say, the cattle gets moved to a certain area on the ranch to graze. While they graze, they also fertilize the soil. Then they get moved to another spot (I would guess they move them at least once a day). The spot they just moved from now has time to regrow very healthy, nutritious grass. Many livestock do not eat grass, primarily, so feed has to be bought & distributed to them. The rancher has to brand each animal, pay for vet bills, etc. Ultimately, he/she has to somehow arrange to get all their livestock to market. All the while keeping track of every expenditure. This is where having very good wi/fi comes in. All of their ranch equipment has to be kept in good working order. That includes horses & saddles & reins, cattle herding dogs, etc. They are responsible for so, so many things. You have to be a very smart business person. Oh....on top of everything else, some also run a "Dude ranch", where city folk pay to experience the life of a cowboy for a few days. Lots of moving parts. Haven't even scratched the surface.
I can't believe people comment on whether you buy or not. That's completely your business! You obviously know what you're doing.
As you go through these decisions and situations, you viewer's who are going to be in those situations one day are learning about this ahead of time. Couldn't help but think, looking at Leo, he probably would have been a good buddy for Lumi, like Ariel is for Ezzy. It's just part of the world you live and work in. A bummer, but there will be another. . .
You did well to think of other horses you could help -that is really thoughtful-don't we love horses soooooo much.
I see what you mean about the price jumping up when they see you bid. I’ve seen it in your other videos. As soon as you are in the price just starts jumping up. I get it. Those guys are like look at that little lady trying to buy a horse. Frustrating 😤
The draft horse looks great! You are so precise in selecting your horses. I appreciate the care you take to explain your decision making process! Good vibes in picking the horse you want! It's always exciting!❤
I agree about the buckskin. He is bringing his left hind leg almost diagonally underneath him rather than sttaight ahead.(at the trot)
He was so grand that he didn't need you. Helping good horses be/get better is half of your mission. You acted wisely.😢😊
appreciate your honesty, showing all emotions as they come. Must be awfully hard to video it for your hubby
I like him
That was intense! WoW
I'd loved to see you get a warmblood
The buckskin’s rear end movement doesn’t seem to match the front end movement…like the rear goes on another horse. So many of the Friesan cross horses had those awful skinny necks, I don’t know what the people see in that type. You’ll find another horse that will be the perfect fit without the tremendous price. Leo was a super horse that’s for sure.
That was exciting. Thanks for showing how it’s done and sharing your heart and good sense.
They bid you up HARD girl, they know who you are now. That sucks for you and the auction side of the horse game. They haven’t seen horse prices like this ever in the industry so you might just have to buy private or go to sales farther away. Also dress like a bum stop standing out so much you look like you smell of money. Lol
Honey ❤ it's your money. Don't worry about what we think.
Girl - get a deal - don’t overpay
Too much $$$$
I’m sad. I loved Leo…but, I understand.
I watch @The Clever Cowgirl who is in Montana and she attends auctions, but generally buys the loose horses that might need some TLC to get them back to being their best before moving them on to their new lives. She has quite the saddle collection too. Anyway its really interesting seeing different styles of sales that people attend and what they look for in the horses.
Leo is one gorgeous fellow. Written before auction. Hope he goes home with you...❤ 🐎 I was hoping Kyle would have put that last bid in for you... Sad 😥
He's beautiful 😍 I hope you get him ❤️
❤❤❤😍😍😍
I love these auctions! So much fun! Yahoo
I’m sad but Leo is going to go to a great home. Now you can find a real diamond in the rough 💎
My guess for stunning Leo… without reading or watching the whole video… 15,000. Over 10,000 for sure. Love from California🏔️🌲☀️🩵 ps. Finished the video! This was a great vlog!
Exciting; loved it but had a hard time hearing you this time. Perhaps the wind? Your new clothing line is gorgeous, and you have excellent taste!
you should leave kyle at home what a bummer he is
At least 10,000.00
Where do you sell your horses once you are ready to sell? Especially for more than 5k? Please help me to make my horse selling dreams come true
Your lipstick today was partially Nice shade 👍🫶🏻
If you were looking for one horse to have for years in lessons Leo be a good solid investment. He is well worth the price but is outside of your mission statement to develop and move along. So hard to stay within your purpose when you see a beautiful boy like him. Of course, it would also be different if Kyle wanted to ride more regularly. It’s hard to pass him by but you made a solid business choice. Blessings 🌺
How do you know if a horse has been drugged?
I have to ask this question. Why on earth don't you pick some runners up so you don't have to have your heart so dead set on just that one and only horse? Am I wrong about that? I am an extremist but that sale was huge and there were many beautiful horses there.
What happened with the percheron gelding that was so sweet? I hope he got a good home. ❤
