I'd like to thank you so much for reminding me that Frutiger Aero was a thing. I think that almost 50% of all the happiest moments in my life had something to do with Frutiger Aero, be it directly or indirectly; I like to call it the most attractive Aesthetic ever - and every time I look at it, it suddenly brings me a very specific feeling of 'hope' for the future, just like it used to years ago.

Frutiger Aero is the design language I keep looking back on with a strange fondness. I loved the Windows Vista implementation of it specifically; Windows 7 was nice too but I feel Vista really nailed it. Just the overall glossy look and feel of the design language at the time was beautiful and striking.

By the time you were properly aware of things it was at least 2015 onwards. Those born in the early 2000's were the ones that truly experienced Frutiger Aero. By the time you were barely a teen, it was already 2018. You can't possibly have seen a much different world.

This is the only type of subreddit video I'd watch. Thanks for bringing this style up on KZread a year ago. Analyzing different aesthetics, and where they came from, are so cool to learn, especially when I grew up with the frutiger aero aesthetic myself - and to see millions of people resonate with that same style's pretty special.

Your voice and the background music fit together extraordinarily well. I trust ur research and expect I'd also be interested in ur perspective even in say, a podcast. Not saying u should do that but just saying ur good enough of a creator/researcher where I'd expect you to have that capability.

1:23 I care about what you just said here, it's relevant for the video :] 2:41 The extra overlay that Samsung added to Android was really good at the time in my opinion. The colours, the music, the premium ambiance of the interface itself made using a Samsung phone really pleasant to use and feel premium. 4:05 Windows Vista and 7 had probably the best user look and feel I've ever encountered. No other theming has yet matched the quality of Aero, which is in fact a reference to Mac OS X's Aqua theming, but in fact took the best out of it and imprioed upon this with hardware accelerated transparency, blur and glowing elements. 5:54 I think some Linux distributions had pre-installed those wallpapers as alternatives to the default one when you want to change your desktop background. I think it was the Enlightenment Desktop environment that had a theme which had this wallpaper as default. Great video as always, nice way to start the day for me :]

Another great video, FA is just so beautiful, I'm constantly on that subreddit too! I post original creations, they're very basic because I'm not that good at it but still it brings me joy and calmness, I just love the aesthetic That being said, I posted a UK Arriva sign I saw a while back (some app promotion or something) and I thought it gave off very "Neumorphism" and modern day FA vibes. Some agreed, some put it in r/frutigeraerojerk but still, I think it was great because I think FA is potentially fading back into existence! Who knows though
