Exploring & Peace Of Mind - Riding Yamaha XT250

Ойын-сауық

The one bike I love to go exploring on is my XT250!
It's easy to go miles and miles deep into the desert, it's another thing to get back.
So having a bike like the XT250 is a peace of mind, knowing I have something reliable, easily maneuverable, and capable in most terrains!
On this ride I was trying out a new loop in the Southwestern Utah desert that would circumnavigate a section of the Beaver Dam Mountains. This loop turned out to work really well since I was able to shave off a few miles from the normal route I take when doing a loop in this area and it also would be nice to combine this loop with other routes. Awesome scenery and awesome ride!

You are so lucky in the USA to have all the wild areas to freely explore any time you want to. Here in England we have very few places to ride off road. Watching you and others video's has convinced me to buy a XT but the 225 Serow not the 250 due to it being even lighter. They don't stay up for sale very long over here and are snapped up very quickly. Thanks for all the inspiration you have given me to try it.

I am a 66 yearr old SOLO off road rider. I would never ride a bike that I could not pick up comfortably. Weight can be the biggest hindrance when riding off road. Thanks for the video.

Good intro. I finally got a performance cam in my Himalayan and I am pretty impressed. The bike gets a bit more power and pull especially in 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I will have to say it definitely gets more in 3rd and 4th. I am still pretty buzzy at 75mph, which is still about the top speed. I did gain passing power in the 65mph range. I do have full exhaust, filter, and full fuel tuner as well.

Inspirational for me and my new to me, lightly used (2300 miles) 2019 XT250. I got it for a guy who wanted a DR650 for a Mexico trip for highways and such! I am from the Sonoran desert but, I'll now be doing my adventures in West-Central Montana! Thanks for all that you provide information wise and experientially!! By rhe way... is that part of the Mojave Desert you're in?

Thanks for making all these great videos! I have a 87 TW200 and really thinking about picking up an XT250 or 225 as my next bike. How does low end compare? Can the XT250 tractor up in 1st gear like the TW? Love to hear your opinion since you have time on both. Thanks man!

To me Desert envisions sand, not rock. How are the roads with regards showing up on maps...google, etc. I would think fuel anxiety would be a common issue on a ride out there. Cool place.

D Rock, what size are your tusk d sports? I'm looking to replace the kenda 270s on my XT but having a hard time finding the same size tusk d sports so I'm thinking I'll need to deviate a bit from the stock tire size if that's correct.
