Suzuki DR650 - Steep Mountain Climb & Fresh Tires (Tusk D Sports)
Ойын-сауық
Fresh tires on the Suzuki, great day for a ride up a steep mountain road!
Just got a set of Tusk D Sports on the Suzuki as well as the break service over with. Time to ride!
So up I went to see if I could get up quite a steep route in the Pine Valley Mountains of Southwestern Utah. Had a few interesting sections but the bike and the tires performed well! I have previous experience with the Tusk D Sports since I have them on two of my other bikes and they work really well for me and the type of riding I do. I also like their price! Another fun loop on the DR650, can't wait to get the bike built and ready for long travel! Lots more to come!

Every time I see your Dr650 videos pop up on my recommended page, it makes me want to trade in my 2018 dr200s for a 2023 DR650. I think I'm going to.

Doit bike is awesome, I love mine cheap to own easy to work on and fun to ride
the DR650 does not have rim locks..if you get your rear tire pressure to low with a good traction tire you run the risk of spinning the tire on the rim..thus tearing your tube valve stem..seen this happen ..my ride buddy made this mistake..flat tire out in the middle of the boonies..I have a 2014 DR650..great bikes..enjoy :0)
Wow looks like an awesome ride
Thanks for the info on the D Sports I'm gunna give them a try on my KLR and Himalayan I'm running Motoz adventure Ralz now but they are so expensive. Once again another great video, now I want DR too.

You're welcome, thanks for watching!
nice bike
I like the D-Sport rear but I really disliked the front and had to remove it and return it under warranty. The rear I got about 3500 miles out of. I just replaced it with another D-Sport. My next rear will be the Shinko 244.
I didn't see any mount points for your GoPro on your helmet. Where or how were you mounting it? Looks like a nice scenic ride with just enough technical to make it interesting.
If you don't mind me asking, about how much is a dealer service on the DR? (rough estimate is fine, I know service fees can vary drastically from area to area) Oil changes and such I plan on doing myself, but I'm a bit leery on valve adjustments... at least at the beginning.

I think it was around $250 for the break in service, had it back same day.
What’s a good estimate of the elevation change you went through on this ride?

Around 4000ft of elevation change.
What’s that gear your wearing over your jacket around your neck? Is that like a neck brace?

It's a Tek Vest, I did a video on it recently. It's for chest/rib protection since I recently broke my ribs during a motorcycle crash.
Dr motor what a donk , didn't even break a sweat on the steep stuff
Wondering what helmet your wearing

If you could only take 1 bike would it be the DR650?

Hmmm. It may be looking that way. Once I get the DR650 built out and get out there, it very well may be my main squeeze.

@@precipiceofgrind It's still the unicorn ADV. Good weight, good suspension and clearance, and good power.
