42:15 To Brandon's point, the DLC does drop a lot of smithing stones to upgrade these weapons more quickly

I disagree wholeheartedly about NPC questlines being their weak point. I think they're obtuse on purpose, and I enjoy that. It's like a puzzle I have to solve. I don't get to just follow an objective marker on a map and finish them. I have to use my brain. From Soft's biggest weakness still remains their camera work I think. Great stream!

Brandon wanted to know about invocations that can be used with str builds. Assuming by invocations he means the ability that Ashes give you on weapons, then these are the ones I recommend. Cragblade, Braggarts Roar, Endure, Lions Claw, Ground Slam and Earthshaker. Ground Slam would be suuuuper funny to see Thog do.

You just have to get the smithing stone bell bearings then you can almost max out each weapon you find. I use a ton of different weapons.

The thing about twists mirrors my opinions on the direction this series is going for different reasons It's just that every race, every faction, everyone, is inherently twisted several times over in a way that combines to make long-term survival impossible at any point, even before the collapse. It's just too varied and small of a world to be anything but ridiculous. It's not all that bad yet because I was well into my second playthrough before it really bothered me But I feel like it's getting there more and more with each game

Berserk has some great ideas and concepts. Critique on it would be how the sexual stuff is handled. Its quite bad and overdone. The moment a new girl is shown you just know youll see her without clothes soon. Females purpose is just to be helpless. Which is funny because when the reverse happens, there are a lot of people who cry about it.

I think NPC quests are pretty doable if you stop to think about what's going on in the world, try to look at the architecture and lore of the lands to predict the NPCs motives.

nah, not by a long shot. its always a community effort. you'll NEVER complete all of the quests by yourself at launch. even if you know every single little detail. its just too big of a map and the order counts, you probably wont go to the locations in tha same order as you need to

  • @MATCHLESS93

All no, but you can easily complete majority of them. Especially in Elden Ring. The only ones I failed was Shabriri (well, I got him to appear in Mountaintops, I missed steps in the middle), Hyetta (didnt immediately figure out the get naked part and forgot to come back to it) and Diallos/Alexander quests because they weren't finished at the time. Ranni's ending didn't even require any extra thinking it just got completed while playing the game. Same was with Sekiro "secret" ending. Dark Souls used to have a lot more confusinf quest lines and I loved them nonetheless. @@FragmentedTV

Hey I'm sorry about being annoying about the Runes, if you want to hold onto them like points, I get it. It shows how confident you are in your ability, at one point I said baby in chat, that was error from me trying to type faster than I can so sorry that word was not intended. Back to rune horde, I might adopt that as well, it seems as though it adds a bit of excitement because of risk of losing all of them is there and also how many can I stack you know like Benjamin's 😆, just playing but it's awesome that you're streaming Elden Ring.

Dont agree about Malenia. Shes great as is. Also your solution is making an extra step to an already optional boss. I do agree with aspects of difficulty. Fans turn off any critical thinking when its a FromSoft game and hear the trigger word "difficulty". If a boss had 1mil health and you need to pray to the moon, face Mecca and do a 360spin in order to only do 40dmg. They would defend it. As long as FromSoft made the game 😂 And on the otherside. Fans will fight agaisnt difficulty slider menu but they will get mimic tear. Max dmg rivers of blood and one shot bosses. But feel good because there wasnt actual menu item showing that they chose difficulty 😂 its interesting study on the psychology of players

Around 13:40… the phrase describing a “twist for twists sake” could be referring to “subverting expectations.” Think Star Wars The Last Jedi, which ruined Star Wars due to these “twists for twists sake” in that nobody could have guessed what was done in that film.
