For fast food, we have seen a McDonalds here as well as a Quick. There are a few Chinese restaurants as well, but with Tagine is sooo good. There will always time for Fast Food when needed, but for now, we are loving the local flair.

Love the way you respect a culture and another country. It really shows you respect people by asking permission to take images and the respect you show other cultures really keeps me an avid watcher of your travels. Make sure you go to the "New" area of Marrakech too there are some great seafood restaurants there. And if you time go to Taroudant for a night. It's an incredibly small town but was my absolute favorite. Their local catch is sardines and they make an incredible sardine burger so unique I promise you. The smaller towns had the most incredible people that were less hustle and so so generous.

Awh Tarik, I am so happy we can bring a bit of Marrakech to you during your time away. To travel and not interact with the people and learn about the culture seems pointless to me. Luckily most people here speak some English or French which makes it easy to communicate. It is so hard when we visit places we cannot communicate, we miss so much, but we still try.

Thanks for following and your kind words. We actually edited out my full explanation just in case kids were watching. Not all parents feel the same, but for us we have sex ed talks starting at age 8 and upward. We want them to come to us with questions so we do our best to keep the line of communication open from a young age. Obviously the younger years are not as detailed as when they get older.

What that shop owner gave you to sniff are Nigella seeds (black caraway, also known as black cumin). They are used in food and are great when used to flavor bread. They have been used for thousands of years to treat shortness of breath. It's a natural grandma's remedy commonly used in Morocco and it works. The stuff he put in tea (maybe too much) appears to be menthol crystals. Those are crystalized from the essential oil that gives to mint its refreshing smell. I have never used those crystals before although you can buy them even in the US. They are often used in cosmetics, medicated creams, throat lozenges, toothpaste, mouthwash, gum, foot sprays, pain relief...

Hi guys! That was me that suggested the beads. My beads are glass-from 40+ yrs ago. I might have bought them at a market outside of Agadir? A dark core with sections of bright 3d type colour designs added on. Each one different. Jess, if yours are clay check out the next markets you go to for the glass ones. Yes, they were currency at one time. You are lucky to get some pictures. When I was there capturing a persons soul or attempt to envisage Allah were mostly verboten. Marrakesh market was less hawkish when I was there. I tried many stalls and followed my nose for the best spice combinations. Yummmm. Did you find out to buy goat cheese? I loved it there as well but cant remember where I purchased it. Yes Will I’d be happy to join you guys over a Tangine in Morroco. I hope you got the biggest one! Lol

The beads are so beautiful. We may go out and get more. Will is thinking he might want one as well. Go figure if he goes out ad get the more expensive one. HA! We have yet to find a cheese shop. We have seen cheese at a Carrefour, but there was nothing special there. So far photographing people has been hit or miss, but they have all been quite polite. Give respect, get respect.

I will barter, but it exhausts me and I will walk away if I don't get my price. The food has been bonkers fantastic! I can't get enough. Avalon may turn into couscous. Ha. Thanks, they are pretty good eaters. The rule in our house is that you don't have to like it, but you do have to try it. Can't wait to SEA and bugs!!! The old men made my day. They were so cute and loved being photographed. The women have not liked being photographed and I respect that, but I am bummed. The colors, their expressions, so much beauty. As always, thanks for joining us on this journey.

Btw Will how is your ear infection now? I have had good success with local pharmacists in other countries. When I was in Antigua My very bad cold returned. They sell a type of cold remedy which out surpasses Tylenol cold that we are sold here in Canada. Night and day difference. I bought several packets to put in my travel stash - maybe you should do that as well? One year my younger son got an ear infection in Florida-requiring emergency at Cape Canaveral hospital. The next month my older son got an ear infection in Cuba. The Cuban doctor was excellent and wouldnt charge us anything. Meanwhile Florida for the same ailment was thousands of dollars. Yeahhhh Cuba!

We have stacked up a bit in Spain where you can get most medicines without a prescription for a really great price. I did self-medicate with one Antibiotic, but the ear infection laughed at it and it barely got better. In Morocco, the pharmacist prescribed another and, just like that, I am on the mend. I should be back to running by the end of the week. Thanks for the concern. Now it's time to stock up here on more medicine.

If you still have pain you would need antibiotics. For that you need to visit a Dr because for antibiotics is not allowed to buy it with out dr prescription in Morocco. If you go to public hospital is for free. A private specialist Dr would cost you between 20 an 30 $

Honestly, I don't think it would cure cold, if it's a viral infection. However, it will clear your throat, nose and make you breath better. Just guessing though. I never tried that myself.

I like to use rosemary, eucalyptus, lavender and peppermint to help clear sinuses but I was curious as to whether crystalizing eucalyptus oil would create an actual cold remedy as opposed to just relieving symptoms. Hopefully everyone will stay healthy and we won't get an answer for a very long time. :)
