Prestigious? Where did you get that from? As a child I used to be told off by my father for speaking incorrectly like that and we're from Fes. I still remember practicing saying ana "Rrrrrajl' not ""ghghghajl". I'm a linguist and I can tell you it's the equivalent of andalusian darija that the moores brought with them when they left spain after the spanish inquisition, the same is true for Tangiers, Tetouane...

@@kapssul very funny 🤣 please rest assured the practice did work. I was brought up the only male in a house full of females who spoke like that, some of them are community leaders now, others are academic professors, doctors and also home makers and educators, they all switch on and off with the fassi accent. They all also speak minimum of 3 languages. Not bad for a bunch with a lisp 😉🙏

Let me give a trick for price negotiation in morocco I'm Moroccan and I know what I'm talking about . Always when the seller give you a price that you are not satisfied with you give him your price that you can afford and walk away from the store if it is on his benefit price range he will call you after you step out from his place never give you price and stay inside that way he will realize that you can get that price somewhere else . You have to show the seller that you are not dying for that product even if you love it . Try it next time and be a little aggressive when you bargain looll
